Hi everyone, I have been vaping off and on for a few months, i managed to give up the fags a few months ago, lasted almost 4 weeks but made the fatal mistake of having a few.. anyway i am trying to go back on the ecigs again. i am using a few brands but they are the cig look alike ones and i can fill them with the e juice. i would like to progress to something a bit better as i am fed up of charging them up, was considering the mini vgo at jac vapour, can anyone point me in the right direction, plus i am vaping grape and cherry i cant get on with the tobacco ones, but i am already fed up of those flavours... Thanks Shell

Hi Shelly, to the forum, people here often recommend this kit for new members, it's what I started with and it's a great kit www.vapeescape.co.uk/the%2Dve%2Driva%2D1100%2Ddeluxe%2Dkit%7E151Use discount code allabout for 10% off your order the batteries will last a lot longer than cig-a-likes I also recommend trying some of their Grizwalds sample juices. Another great place for fantastic yummy juices is www.pixiejuice.co.ukWelcome again and feel free to ask any questions

Is there a big difference between vaping on a look alike e cig to one of the above Riva's ? and how long would a Riva battery last, i am currently using about 3 batteries a day, and what is the drip tip? all these attachements and things confuse me ..

Hello Shelly and welcome to the forum The Riva kit in Ellen's link is what I'm using and I'm very happy with it. I find a battery will last me all day before it needs to be charged again. I'm still fairly new to vaping so I'm still searching to find flavours I like. Menthol and Mint are my favourites so far, although I've just started on an Espresso Coffee flavour which I think is very nice. The drip tip is the mouth piece.

Hello & welcome Shelly:) You really would find a big difference between the Riva & the ciggie lookalikes. The drip tip is used with the cartomisers as a mouth piece - far more comfortable than vaping on a hot cartomiser Just a word of warning about the VGO you were thinking of getting. It comes with an 808 fitting so you are limited to what you can use with it. The Riva has a 510 fitting & you can buy all sorts of different cartomisers/clearomisers to fit it from just about any vendor.

I would say a huge difference in flavour, vapour production, everything (as Chrissie has stated). If you get a sizeable battery it will last all day between charges, I started with a Sky Cig ciggalike kit and thought it was pretty good until I got a Riva, I now have many gadgets now I know how good this vaping lark is. Word of warning, it can turn into a bit of a hobby and this forum can get quite addictive

Since i started looking and trying the e cigs, i first tried e-lites, then bought a set from smokers relief and the smokers angel, vapour lites and others, so it has become costly already, thats why i need to find something with a bit more power. What is the difference between using a tank and the cartomisers ? is it to do with the flavour or the vapor or both ? I like the riva but would it be too big to take to work, it does look quite big ?

Hi Shelly, welcome from me too. The Riva is more the size of a cigar than a ciggie. Most people feel a little self-conscious about it to begin with but soon get over it. Take a look at the thread called "look at the size of it" for some more thoughts on this

Shelly, I'd say the Riva, when complete with clearomiser and mouth piece on, is a similar length to a biro and about the thickness of a lipstick tube. Compared to a cigarette, it does seem huge but you soon get used to it and I like the size as it's comfortable to hold. In fact, I prefer that size to my ego 650 that I and the charge lasts a fair bit longer too.

Hi Shelly
If you're searching for flavours you might like to try the Mirage Oasis E liquid Sample pack - 32 flavours (2.5) ml for £20.
