I'd ignore the overly simplistic reference to the left and right hemispheres. Neural processing is waaaaaaaaay more complicated than that, especially visual processing and object recognition. There's a lot of exaggerated nonsense in popular culture about the left side of brain doing this and the right side doing that (and questions like "are you a left-brain person or a right-brain person?).
