Been to Santa pod today

I had a lovely day out at Santapod today watching the drag racing. In case anyone doesn't know what it is.


It was amazing, it was sunshine all day and I had a few beers in the cooler

My kids loved it and my 9 year old was amazed at the way the top fuel cars made her whole body shake when they went by.
(we did all have ear defenders on)

And to keep it on subject a little, I vaped all day on the bank with my camouflaged LT, with vivi nova on top and no one said a word Shame really, I was hoping someone would ask what it was

Brilliant day out, if you want some very high octane thrills.

I haven't downloaded them yet, but probably not.

Trying to take a photo of a drag car or bike going over 200mph isn't easy, I had the digital camera set up to take 10 shots at a time, in very short succession, but usually had one frame get the front of the car and the next, the back end.

And the pictures just don't get the majesty of the whole situation, unfortunately, my videos are just as bad

I'll have a good look tomorrow, but in all honesty, the youtube videos are much better.

You don't have to do it yourself, you can just watch, the days of myself going down the 1/4 mile in my car are way gone, not only couldn't I afford it now, I just haven't the time.

Nice....Santa pod,kicks off the show season for me,as I display the car at the Fast Show,its an open track so you can take your own car on it,I don't in case everything blows up and I cant get home

It's been too long since I went to Santa Pod, I used to own a highly modified Supra Mk IV (well not that modified, it was only running 550BHP, some of the other guys were twice that) but I do remember the first time I saw/heard the top fuel dragsters, the noise rearranged my innards, totally amazed by them.

I should really make my way up there this year, would love to go back
