Hi AAEC members and a warm welcome to my new advert for the 18650 v v twin. This is my flagship mod and for good reason. The v v twin boasts a range of excellent safety features, onboard battery charging and a super small footprint for this type of mod. The unit measures 120 mm tall including the control knob, 70 mm wide and 24 mm deep. The case is hard anodised aluminium and provides a rock solid chassis for the mod with excellent wear resistance. The case has been chosen for this reason and the fact it has an oval profile wich gives a very comfy hand feel indeed. Many users comment on the hand fit and the button placement which works for both left and right hand users. The v v twin runs from 3 to 5.8 volts and can be adjusted at any time by means of the controll knob on the top pannel. The voltage display is positioned right next to this controll so you can view the voltage as you vape. The 510 output connector is fully modded with a huge anti crush grommet and then topped with an additional 510 to 510 stubby connector. As you may be aware the 510 fittings on all mods are a point of wear and damage and this can easily make your mod junk. The v v twin uses it's second 510 connector as a sacrifical part and when the threads wear or its insulator should fail you can easily unscrew it and chane it for a new one. This eliminates the need to return the mod for repairs and gets you back up and running in a short time. Powering this device are two AW brand IMR 18650 cells noted for quality and excellent safety. This type of cell chemistry will not explode even if it vents. AW also add extra safety features to this cell to provide safe venting and plate separation under high temprature operation. The safe nature of this cell makes it the number one choice. Then I take this one step more by placing the cells into a fully protected cell holder which adds another level of safety to the device. The cell holder prevents you from harming the cells in any way, it is impossible to run the cells totally empty which is a sure fire way to damage lithium cells. The cell holder also prevents overcharging should the supplied mains charger fail to do so. The whole battery pack also has a smart fuse to prevent shorts to the pack. The regulator on this device is the best on the market at this time and run time on a single charge will give minimum of a long day of hard vaping. Most users get two days plus from a single charge. The mod is supplied fully assembled and the cells and mains charger are included in the price. You simply charge the mod any time you wish just like a mobile phone and the charger will stop charging when its done. the charger has a single led red for charging and green for fully cooked. The regulator which provides the voltage adjustment and powers your chosen attatchments will give 2.5 A of current and will be more than you need for all attys cartos tanks etc, the only exeption is the tripple coil cartos which need near 5 amps to run well. In my honest opinion they are stupid devices. Should you get the mod into a situation it is not happy about such as an overload from a poorly wound coil on your re buildable atty or a short for example the mod will automaticly adjust to prevent any damage to the electronics untill you sort the issue when the mod will return to normal operation. If you should get a short on the output the voltage display will not operate to give a simple indication of this. I offer a very fast turn around on any repairs and a personal service to all. Most returns are due to damage by users and not through component failure I am happy to say and the robust industrial nature of the vv twin are all part of its appeal. It was never made to be a looker just a good honest workhorse that would last and be fixable in the future. If you are after a solid simple vv mod with all the bells and whistles in the background then this is for you. The cost of the mod with next day shipping in the uk is 100 pounds, Please note most mods are made to order, please feel free to contact me via the private messenger for more info or to place an order, kind regards Rob TH. I can and will well and truly vouch for the quality and perfomance of Robs work, the ThroatHit Twin is a belter and in my opinion worth every penny of the purchase price. I've done a mate a favour and let him have mine as he wanted it so much, which means I now need another one, pm incoming Rob

Maybe a stupid question, but I'm going to ask anyway The way the description reads you charge the whole unit, i.e. leave the batteries in and somehow plug the whole thing in? Is this right or have i got the wrong end of the stick again?

Hi throathit. That's how it sounds to me too Karma, like a mobile phone that you'd charge overnight then use again when you got up. No taking the batteries out and putting them in a charger.

I Believe the mod has a charging circuit built in to allow exactly that via a USB to mini USB cable

It comes with its own mains charger, just plug it in and you can also keep vaping while it charges, even after four days use mine never took more than two hours to hit full charge.
The batteries should be good for a year to 18 months use but once they start to go a bit simply send it back to Rob and he'll fit new batteries and only charge you the cost of the batteries.

That would be the same way as in a mobile phone too I would guess, remove them and shove in new ones! Lol.

Crossed posts with Luner and I guessed wrong.
