.... @raggy I tried teabag material but mine were Twinings, didn't work well. I don't normally buy teabags so won't be trying another brand. The blue stuff was a revelation but I have a tendency to use too big a piece, you don't need much. I've noticed there are different "grades" of blue stuff but have never managed to register which is best. scylla

Yes.This teabag mod vapes very well and is very good.BUT on this subject i STRONGLY agree with kenny. You can just tell its never gonna last a long time and that after a few days its gonna be pulp.Oh well i tried it and will continue with it to see how long it will last.Think i need some of this good blue foam which everyone else has got apart from me.Hope James can find some in America.I must have the course stuff that James mentioned.Anyone else got any ideas for cart filler material??? Oh well im off for a cuppa, this time i wont be trimming tea bags.Must admit it felt a little daft and what a waste of tea. Ian, before the blue foam became popular a lot of people used fluval which can be bought in most pet shops. It is used I believe in fish tank filters. You just cut a piece from it and fill your cart after removing the old filler. Quite a lot of people still prefer this to the foam and maintain that it wicks better.

I'd forgotten all about Fluval Got some here, and also some white wadding that our dear Hanow sent me, which is perfectly fine too. Lots of stuff is just as good as or better than the original cart filling. scylla

Ian, I've never got round to trying the lipton tea bags as a filler but have tried the fluval. It does work well but prefer James' blue foam Yet another alternative I've heard of is coffee machine filters.

Thanks alot everyone.Think im gonna go to pets at home tomorrow and see if they sell fluval to give a go.Cheers for that Kenny.TBH the last place i would have thought of to get filler was the pet shop. That is a stroke of genius.Ive had another go with this blue foam and tried everything with it.It works, dnt get me wrong, but im still having to top up very frequently and sems i have to REALLY draw harder to get it through the bloody foam.I have never had any from James though, mine was from cloud 9.I just presumed that blue foam was all the same until i heard U.S.A foam was better.Surely it should not make a difference what country it was made in.???

Thanks very much Chrissie, thats very kind of you. This blue foam i av is rubbish.I only continue to try with it coz i paid good money for it.Its okay but i cant notice any real major difference in it making my vapeing any better.I saw a few clips where you more or less fill the cart, add the foam and vape for a long time before you need to re-fill.Some people said it could last an hour of heavy vapeing.I must have some crappy stuff coz it just isnt living up to my expectations.I mean, filling carts is so easy so i know its not me,ive been doing it long enough now. Will PM you, thats most kind.

Just a heads-up, my blue foam is specially imported from the US as it's almost impossible to get it here as everyone keeps finding. It out-performs every cart-filler I've ever tried, including the tea-bags and several other types of foam.
However, the tea-bags are a very close second to it, but the ones you need are very specific. It's the Lipton Pyramid tea-bags, sold in Tesco. They do not turn to pulp and can be washed out and reused many times. They appear to be made from some type of fabric - not sure what and you can make two fillers out of one PTB. I experimented for a long time over a year ago with all sorts of different folding and rolling methods until I came up with the one that worked best for me.
I am sure I can still dig some pre-cut and folded ones, send me an email through the site if you want me to send you some, Ian, so you can see how I used to make them.

I'll have to get some Lipton's tea bags then Lisa, as I'm quite impressed with the tea bag filler - thanks for the heads up! Did you not find the fluval I sent any good then Ian, it will be interesting to see if Chris's is different . . . you can be our official ' testing 'fella!

I must say, the blue foam gave me a new lease of life with carts. Dripping was fine but had to be done so frequently One does need to get the size of the piece of foam right in relation to the cart, so I've got quite a few tiny slivers in me box. scylla
