The only reason I went back to normal smelly fags is because I started to get serious headaches and nosebleeds(I don't normally have either of these problems and I was definately feeling better whilst not smoking the nasties). I'm guessing that maybe I am allergic to one of the additives(pg or vg - the humectant one), or I was vaping too high a strength of nicotine(20mg) for someone who only chainsmokes tiny rollies - lol. Except it's not so funny now, I was really happy about giving up the smellies, BUT I want to start vaping again - without the headaches and nosebleeds(which I've never had before. (Once when I was 12 years old I tripped and hit our german shepards head with my nose - definately the only nose bleed I've had ever).

Hi roobarb and welcome. Headaches can certainly be a side-effect of vaping, caused either by too much nic or not enough fluids being drunk. I'm not sure about the nosebleeds though, have you seen your GP about them?

To understand my frustration at failing the ecig thing because of the nosebleeds and bad headaches, I vaped for five whole weeks and never touched a ciggy - I was planning to give my old ciggy stuff away. Also note that I am nearly 50 and have only ever managed to stop smoking for nearly a whole day.. the ecig was seriously working for me until the bad heads and nosebleeds. I even got through the sore gum stage.

Welcome Rhoobarb . . . as OneDay says, it's maybe worth checking with your GP before embarking on ecigs again.
Just to eliminate any other reasons for your nosebleeds.
The headaches are very likely caused by not drinking enough fluids whilst you were vaping, as it can be very drying. . . additionally the nicotine strength could possibly have been a little high for you.

Welcome to the forum I am on week 3 and in the middle if the sore gums stage I did get headaches initially as I was overdoing it and vastly underestimated the amount of fluid i needed to drink! Last week went through a very sore nose stage, I guess the lining was drying out, I wonder if that would cause nosebleeds??? I hope you find a solution soon so you can give up the cigs again. Pam

Hello and welcome
I agree dehydration is most likely cause of headaches, & see your doc, but it might be worth trying different gear as well as different fluids.
I get a sore throat if I chain vape cartomisers but not if I chain vape cartridge + atomiser. Also how hard you suck on it will vary.
And have your other habits changed? I found myself drinking a hell of a lot of coffee...

Hello & welcome Rhoobarb I agree with the others, it would be best if you talk to your GP about the nosebleeds.

Hello and welcome
I have had sore gums for over 3 weeks now. It never crossed my mind that it might be connected to vaping. Can anyone explain the connection?

Smokescreen, the sore or bleeding gums that some folks get, isn't connected to vaping. It's a symptom of giving up smoking. It's due to the blood vessels in your gums coming back to life.

Welcome to the forum. Smoking masks the effects of gum disease also, along with the reduced bloodflow to the gums
