If I could go back a couple of months the first thing I would have brought would have been an ego c twist 1000 (variable voltage) Standard "boge" cartomisers and a mini vivi nova. If I was to pick one, it would be variable voltage.

Of all the stuff I have bought recently, the eGo c twist 1000 has put a whole new sparkle into all my clearomisers and tanks. Juices that were okay before, now zing!!!!

Hi Jdc Welcome. Everyone here is sooo grea and helpful. I too started on and ego C. Then I tried just about everything else till I discovered the joy of Boge cartomisers slotted (where u use a dremel to cut a small slot ino the bottom) and inside a DCT (dual coil tank). After a long while I moved onto a bottom feeder and a genesis Orion mod. I still use cartomisers along with my vivi novas. If you can afford it try every type of atomiser until you find the one you love best. Vapour hut.com sell a kit with several great 510 type atomisers for £13.99, while you are there you can add a vivi nova for £3.99! vapourhut.com/atomisers-cartomisers/vh-samplerAnd when you feel the need for speed you can dip your toe into the world of vv (variable voltage) vaping with a an ego twist or gripper or Lavatube, though personally if you can afford it I would get a Provari. Enjoy your journey

Hey JD, sorry to hear your throat's sore. It could quite possibly be one of the weird and wonderful symptoms that happens when we give up the ciggies! Good to hear you're enjoying vaping, well done being smoke free

Not sure what to try next or if I'll even bother ....as the saying goes .......if it ain't broke , why fix it .......unless there's something else out there ???? I'd suggest the Vivi Nova's GD if you or anyone else has a desire to try something different for a relatively modest outlay. They're a doddle to use, give a great vape and save quite so much carto topping up, if you're not using a Tank with them. Plus the heads can be rewicked if you want to have dabble there . . . although again, replacement heads are inexpensive to buy. www.vapeescape.co.uk/vision-vivi-nova-v2.5-long-wick~371www.vapeescape.co.uk/mini-nova~404

Next will be a mixing kit and trying my hand at making my own juice but that'll have to be on my Xmas list .

Looking at buying some boge cartomisers now as my egoc ones are always leaking. How long do these tend to last for. I see you can get 5 in a pack. What about wicking. How often do you replace the wicks. Do i need a tip for the boges. Decisions decisions and thanks again for any advice.

Cartomisers can vary a bit, but I've found 10ml of juice is about the average life for my boge cartomisers, give or take a couple of ml. Usually that's a few days to a week of constant use. It's a lot more comfortable for you and looks nicer I think if you buy a drip tip to put on the top. Good luck
