Hi Gillian. Belated but very warm welcome.
My favourite vape is Hangsen's RY4. Bit of a cliche as its so popular, but I just love it - it is a caramel light tobacco flavour, and the great thing about it is that if you try it (available from most vendors) but want something a bit more tabaccoiey (my new word of the day) you can try RY3 or even RY2. I believe there may even be an RY1 too which will be very tabaccoiey.
As already mentioned in this thread whatever you like today a your taste buds recover over the next 3-6 months (they do crazy things to you for quite a while) your tastes will probably change.
My other personal favourite is Cinamon Danish, which tastes just like eating a yummy bun, but with no calories - but then I like my eliquids sweet.....

Just tried a 306 atty on the gamucci battery and it screws in but will not fire as the threads on a Gamucci cartomiser are larger than he 306 and there only half as many? Any more ideas any one?

Thanks Brian. I wasn't really thinking what I was writing, hadnt really thought of selling them until now but if anyone is interested can do for £20 incl fees and p&p. They cost me c£40 in a shop selling consessions, but I think they are over priced, as 510 or ego kit much better valve for money. But if anyone wants them in light of this thread then send me a PM Here is the starter kit on the website www.gamucci.com/shop/uk/17-gamucci-micro-deluxe-starter-kit-rechargeable-electronic-cigarette.html

On the website it all seems to be gamucci micro. whats the betting these carts are classics and so nothing is compatible. I had a good look at the picture and they are definitely Micros. If anyone is interested I will happily sell to them my micro start up kit. Comes with box, 2x batteries, USB charger with wall adaptor 8-10 used but refilled cartomisers and little felt case to hold one complete unit. I have to say the flavour is really lovely in the Pre-filled cartomisers....

Just had a look at the Gamucci online shop and they do sell atomisers that should work with the carts but they are a blistering £9.99 www.gamucci.com/shop/uk/23-gamucci-microWould be great to find out what connection type they are as most atomisers retail at half that price.

Hi Addict. Welcome to the forum. I just browsed through the thread and wanted to reply as your experience is so similar to mine (as well as so many others I'm sure). The advice you have had is fantastic (I only wish I had been so foresighted and found this forum when I started vaping). These are only my opinions and thoughts, and I apologies in advance if I am teaching you to suck eggs. Once you start vaping you will either find the ego type PV (personal vapouriser) suits you fine and stick to it or you will become obsessive and pationate about everything ecig and build up a fine collection of Mods (anything non standard, usually involving a separate battery that is charged then put into the part you hold in your hand). Needless to say I am now gaining quite a collection of mods. Eagerly awaiting my 14500 Sandart Cube that Daz from Safercigs is dispatching in the morning If you become the latter (and you will know within a month or so) and really want to make vaping a hobby, them my advice, if you can afford it, would be to go straight for the Provari at that point. I am hard on my PV's. I chain vape, drop them often and use very low ohms when the batteries probably can't really handle it. I started buying cheaper mods and tbh I wasted a lot of money as they all broke fairly quickly. My Provari (bought 2nd hand on a forum for £100) seems to take all the abuse I give it without hardly a scratch. Anyway the second piece of advice I would give is to visit Scott's website (he is something of a local vaping celebrity) www.e-cig-reviews.com/. He has many, many reviews on all kinds of vaping devices and also tutorials. You might like to watch the YouTube story of guy called Shawn in Canada who kept a video diary from the week before he moved onto ecigs for about 2 years. Much has changed technologically in the 3 years since he made the videos but his story helped me alot. www.zeecigs.comThirdly, and a few have mentioned this already, get several strengths of eliquid and plenty of it (at least 60 ml), as during the first week or so you might want to change strength based on how you are feeling, and you don't want to do what I did which was panic buy almost daily for the first 3 weeks. You have to be like a cub scout now and always "be prepared" as you cannot nip down to the local shop if you run out of anything (although increasingly i see ecigs in shops these days). I think that I must have spent £400 in my first month and £300 of this was unnecessary. Finally there are lots of different types of batteries (the bit you hold that supplies the power) and atomisers (the thing that screws ino the end of the thing you hold and heats up the eliquid until it becomes vapour), and they all produce slightly differing results, so don't be afraid to try different types of atomisers to find the one that suits you best - a cartomiser and vivi nova is a great starting point. Once you have done this you only need to find your "all day vape" (favourite eliquid) and you will be in vaping nirvana Good luck and enjoy your journey

Hi Dave et al
They are definately not 510 or Rn4081 fittings. I have a Gamucci and was trying to get an atty for it ealier this year. Chrissie was kind enough to send me a couple of her spare Rn4081's and thy didn't fit.
Do you have any attys to go wit them? Cos I might be interested in taking a few off your hands...
I'm sure I shouldn't even ask but how come you ave soooo many?

I love my gadgets, enjoy tinkering, and used to really like smoking. Vaping tick all those boxes for me and is a much heathier alternative to tobacco.
I was a smoker for 17 years and would give up for up to a year or two on a regular basis then hit a crisis and wham, before I knew it I was back to 15 a day. I have only been a vapourer (is that a real word) for six months and I quit tobacco on day one. I really don't like smoking tobacco anymore, and have vaped now through two of my normal "trigger points" without any problem. I do have the occasional real cigarette (in fact I hd one today - I forgot to bring a spare battery and then after an couple of hours an old friend who didnt know i had quit offered me one. It satisfied my craving even though it gave me a headache and made me fel a bit sick - yeew). The way I see it if I have one tobacco cigarette a month it won't do me any long term harm.
Vaping can be whatever you want it to be - for me it has become a bit of an obsession, but I am sooo much heathier (though no wealthier) for it.

Hi Vapourized
It is very unusual for one to go so quickly, but coils can pop at anytime. I would do a continuity check as suggested by Frogster as you may need to "pull your post" - where the positive connection is not quite touching, you either pop up the positive on the battery while switched off, with a small screwdriver, or pull out the positive end of the atomiser slightly to make a contact. This is the most likely problem.

Hi Jdc Welcome. Everyone here is sooo grea and helpful. I too started on and ego C. Then I tried just about everything else till I discovered the joy of Boge cartomisers slotted (where u use a dremel to cut a small slot ino the bottom) and inside a DCT (dual coil tank). After a long while I moved onto a bottom feeder and a genesis Orion mod. I still use cartomisers along with my vivi novas. If you can afford it try every type of atomiser until you find the one you love best. Vapour hut.com sell a kit with several great 510 type atomisers for £13.99, while you are there you can add a vivi nova for £3.99! vapourhut.com/atomisers-cartomisers/vh-samplerAnd when you feel the need for speed you can dip your toe into the world of vv (variable voltage) vaping with a an ego twist or gripper or Lavatube, though personally if you can afford it I would get a Provari. Enjoy your journey
