I use the 0.212mm Nickel Chrome - found it to be great for a triple wick setup, gives the best flavour/vapour combo I think

Ok ive ordered the 0.212 stuff from wires. Only £3.00 for 10 metres. Ill test them all and see which I like best.
Thanks again for all the advice, so many people use different types, it gets confusing when you are just starting out!

Wick is very important too - that 3mm stuff they send with it is ok but I make up a central wick consisting of 2 x 2mm bits and 1 x 1mm bit, the 1mm can be bought from here: www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=172The 2mm I bought from: www.cig-eliquid.co.uk/2mm_fiberglass_wick/p649230_2911788.aspxYou cut one of the 2mm wicks so that it site flush with the top of the coil area on the penelope and the other 2mm and 1mm drop down either side as usual. Found this to be an awesome setup (as have a few others on here). Something to try when you feel like it

+1 for the 5mm multi-wick, I would never go back to 3mm after that, amazing flavour and vapour. If you haven't tried it, then you have no idea what Penelope can do IMO

Given that you need 3mm in the channels, wouldn't a 3mm wick with an extra 2mm on top do the same job?

I may try putting together a 3mm + 2mm to see what it's like to see if there is any difference. I would need to buy some decent 3mm because the stuff I have is not brilliant.

Yes probably Oneday, I meant I wouldn't use single 3mm alone as I did straight out of the box, so to speak

Oh and 4cm's of .212 will give you 1.8ohm's if you wanted to know, this is what I wrap mine up in, and make sure you don't strangle that wick and BEFORE you coil run a flame over the wire so it glows or the taste will be impared for the first 20 mins of vaping - think that's all the tips needed for Penny

To be honest I don't think you could bust a Penny, they are so robustly made, the only fragile bit is the ceramic and they are cheap to replace

Ive got some 3mm and 2mm wick on the way from ebay. The cotton candle stuff everyone recommends so will try that once it all arrives. For now, im just using the wick/coil that came with penelope, after a few teething issues, mainly with the super airy draw (cheers Blakey for the sound advice), ive got her chuffing quite well on my ego. Whats also useful is that you can adjust the airflow/draw with cunning use of the plinth.
