Dirrect Dripping With a Carto? Simple answer

Happy Monday everyone!

I've read a lot about direct dripping and have done it with good results myself. But I am doing it with empty cartos or with a carto when it's starting to get to needing a refil.

(NB. I have a Riva kit, now also a Sky Cig but know dripping is no good for Sky Cigs)

Now I have received a pack of five pick n mix e-juices so direct dripping will be a great way for me to try them all and switch often depending on my taste buds' needs.

I can't seem to find a simple explanation (please no videos as I can't watch them at work and never have more than about 7 seconds free in the evenings due to a whinging two year old at home), on dripping with cartos.

Should I remove all of the wadding or leave a little?

How much flavour cross over will I get this way (surely any wadding will collect the flavours, especially the strong ones like Golden Burginia)?

Am I better off getting a new toy to use with my Riva for direct dripping, if so what?

Buy an atomizer, IKENVAPE do some awesome ones at 3 different ohm settings in case you need higher voltage, sexy drip tip and drip shield (optional) and your good to rock 10 flavours in 20 minutes - a good atomizer will last you more than a couple of weeks unless youre gonna do all your vaping through it.

Will look into atomizers, but in the mean time if anyone can give me tips on dripping with a carto would be great so I can try more of these flavours whilst waiting for delivery of an atomizer.

As a cheap alternative, just remove all the wadding from a carto IF it's a Kanger as the coil is at the bottom, the kangers little metal mesh bridge will hold 3 or 4 drops which is ideal for dripping. Once your done with a flavour then rinse it out in warm water, blow it through if you can't wait for it to dry then go again.

If it's a Boge you may have a problem as the coil is wrapped around a fiberglass tube halfway down the carto. I've not tried dripping with one of these.

As Skwoddy says, you need an atomiser rather than cartomiser to direct drip. As well as the Ikenvape atomisers that Skwoddy mentions, you can also use a 510 atomiser or a 306 one. With a 510 atomiser, you can use any 510 drip tip, but you will need a 306 drip tip for a 306 atomiser.

I'm fairly certain the cartomisers you would have got with your Riva kit will be Boges.

Thanks peeps, dripped with my Riva cartos and had no problems and great results. Problem now though is I tried the strong flavoured Golden Burginia and that carto is now tainted forever with that taste (not sure if I like it but either way nothing will shift that flavour!). Actually think I need to clean my battery as can still taste it with any other flavour carto or even my clearo!

Goden burginia, you say its strong, is it good too?

I really can't decide Skwoddy! It's a taste I can't place my finger on. Hints of dark chocolate and after hours of racking my brains I think there's some chestnut in there too. My wife (doesn't vape or smoke but has a try of my new flavours) is also trying to work it out!

Definitely a Marmite one that will divide opinion. Talking of which, I'd love a Marmite flavoured e-juice!

Thanks for the advice everyone, just ordered an atomiser from vapeescape, also some filter coloured cartos for my skycig and a bottle of clearance Mom & Pop e-juice.

That's what I went for, good to hear it's ok. How would you describe it?

The website describes it as
"The follow up to the very popular Tobacco Haze from Mom & Pop. The same smooth base with a few added extras"

But as I've never had the original not sure what to expect.

Atty arived yesterday (one day delivery time, great stuff). Working well, not as clean a taste as with my clearo (which has now broken!) but good.

Really like the Praze juice that I also got. Very good in my new filter coloured cartos and my sky cig, close to a real cig without the nasty after taste.

I've got a massive carto can I take the filling out of that and fill it all up with liquid or would it leak?
