Hiya gang,
Just to give you an update as to where I am in the quest for vaping nirvana. The Provari will arrive tomorrow (with the blessing of the postie gods), so on that premise I decided to set the penny up. With the help of scott (Igetcha69)'s superb video I had it set up inside 15 minutes, even with a breakage in the premade 3piece wire.
What can I say! It worked, right off the bat, as intended. Blew me away how easy it was to setup, refill and vape.
Vape, yes, OH YES.. I was always sceptical about how much difference could be achieved in taste, vapour production and throat hit just by using a different mod, after all its using the exact same principle as an e-lite, i.e liquid on a hot coil producing vapour. How wrong was I?. If anyone shares the same perception that I did, trust me, your'e off the mark, by a long shot.
I realise that all vapers have systems that they are happy with and I totally respect that, as I too was happy using all the methods and units recommended and prescribed by all the great members of this forum. But, as in any hobby that I pursue, I have to see what all the rave is regarding potential upgrades. Very impressed with the Penelope and wholeheartedly recommend to anyone toying with the idea of rebuildables to chase one of these elusive bad boys in Vaping.
I can only imagine what VV on the provari is going to do to the penelope, and indeed on the kicked ggts when its up and running.
Can I just thank Chrissie and her gang of mods for showing me the way in the world of vaping, and of course for all the valuable advice given by everyone here, The members Ive been chasing, a special thank you to you. (you know who you are!!)
In the words of a famous rail company years ago "we're gettin there".
I look forward to offering any help and advice where i can, and all the banter that we continue to enjoy in this very friendly place.
To all the new members, Keep it up, you're doing an amazing thing - for yourself, your finances and your family, KEEP OFF THE STINKIES!!
Skwoddy out.

Good innit? You won't want to use anything else now, everything you have tried thus far will become obsolete and pointless #icon_thumbsup#

Thanks for your comments, I cant answer your post, but a hobby is a hobby... right?, Nah, I have a couple of flavours i like and having a couple to hand in the house is great by me, Plus i think Genesis mods are a bit less fussy once youve sussed the coiling, only one type of wire for example. In regards to the postage, dunno, but im pretty confident he wont have done a runner

Nice one skwoddy. Well done. Getting it working well is a fine art I found. Maybe I was unfortunate. But getting all those things working together without gurgling, the right draw, vapour etc is bang on when it does come together.

Yeah agreed, and I still have a bit to adjust, which I will do when I have my 2 mods in hand. I dont mind an airy draw as long as it puts out, which it is. If I can get a tighter draw and more vapour then i need to know, but alas any tips are futile till I get my mods. One thing i can ask though, regarding the juice control, I have found a point where it doesnt gurgle, can i just leave it there or will I have to keep closing and opening it?

Once you have found the right spot for the juice control just leave it. I've found half a turn for 70/30 juices and three quarters for 50/50 works for me.
Don't forget that when you come to refill penny turn her upside down and close the juice control before opening the top and refilling

Blimey Tim that's about 13 watts, no wonder you need the juice gates open

FIEND.. Im impressed! Can I ask what you do for the 3 piece wires, and for a link regarding the wicks at 5mm? I make up a central wick consisting of 2 x 2mm bits and 1 x 1mm bit, the 1mm can be bought from here: www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=172The 2mm I bought from: www.cig-eliquid.co.uk/2mm_fiberglass_wick/p649230_2911788.aspxYou cut one of the 2mm wicks so that it sits flush with the top of the coil area on the penelope and the other 2mm and 1mm drop down either side as usual. Found this to be an awesome setup (as have a few others on here) Wire I got from wires.co.uk and I use 4cm's of 0.212mm Nickel Chrome and 0.20 for the legs (as I call them)

Regarding the "legs" and the "body" of the wire, are you using solder, or twisting? Thanks muchly for the links btw also on the wire, could you specify which is resistance and which is no resistance please
