lol the nurse i belched at earlier said "better out than in" actually! Mum used to tell a story of one of her first dates with my Dad when they were playing cards and she kept disappearing to the loo - he was worried she was unwell so she finally admitted she just had wind. He told her not to be daft and if she did a good enough one he'd give her 50p - well 5 minutes later she let rip - he tossed her a pound and said "keep the change that was worth every penny"

When I started going out with my Hubby back in 1983 I was as naive as they come and he turned to me one night and told me I had flatulence, I went all coy and said thanks and he never battered an eyelid, next day at work I was telling a few of my workmates and they all cracked out laughing and asked me what I thought it meant and I said he thinks I have style and panache, when they told me what it really meant I said I can't see him again I am so embarrassed as to not knowing what he meant (by the way I didn't have it then ) even after all these years together he still brings it up and has a good laugh about it .
