Thanks again all for the welcomes! We always recommend to have back-ups though. With most people, its not as easy to get vaping gear if something goes wrong with yours, or you lose it. With stinkies you can just pop to your corner shop for a fresh packet, not so easy for a new clearo, or juice, battery etc. Good point, brianfletch...I've given myself a couple of weeks to get used to what I've got and to try a few different juices: I've got more clearos on order to give me the option to try more flavours without having to keep cleaning clearos every few hours. Next step may be to get a bit more kit, and I'd welcome any suggestions. Is it enough just to, say, get more batteries, or bigger ones, or...? At the moment, I've got two of everything and it's brand new, but it would be pretty stupid to wait till something packs in before ordering spares. Hmm. "pretty stupid". My middle names.

Sounds to me like "pretty stupid" is far from your middle name Kickit Not tried them myself, but so many folks here recommend an ego Twist ( variable Voltage ) battery as a good step up form your ego kit

Actually things are changing, with some supermarkets doing cigalikes you can now pop in and get some prefilled cartos and a back up battery for around £16 which will get you out of a jam (just make sure they're 510 compatible).
I started on the 10 Motives rechargeables (which are 510) and still use them for my tobacco flavours as I like the taste better on lower voltages (until I pick up my new Variable Voltage from the post office tomorrow).

Very true Firin, but I would still have to travel 18 miles to my nearest supermarket that sells e-cigs

The Tesco in my nearest town (4 miles away) stopped selling the 10 Motives. Not sure what the supermarkets in the next larger town, 20 miles away, now have, but last time I checked a few months back it was zilch

Well, thanks for the suggestions, and I will certainly give the twist some serious thought. Looks like an ideal next step/upgrade. And the little keyring thingy, although would I also need an adapter to use that with my ego cartos?
You lot get me thinking, and I realised I must be quite lucky. My tiny corner shop (5 mins walk) sells e-cigs. OK, I don't know which ones, or even what they are like, but let's face it, if I was really stuck it would be better than nothing, or than "the other thing"! And as long as any crisis happens before 9.30 pm they'd still be open!

Yes you would need an adapter to use the visions. the SDK is designed to use cartomisers, it comes with 2 and you can buy a pack of 5 for arounfd £5. these cartomisers will fit the batteries you already have without an adapter the Twist is a great battery btw

Im new to the vaping thing to, I have just about hit the break even point on money I have outlaid on vaping kit V's Money not spent on Cigs. However I do keep reading about new bits of kit on here that I think I wouldn't mind trying that, but think I will wait to get paid before I go any further. I am Planning giving the mixing ago next week which should be interesting.

Welcome from me too kickit!
I found myself spending too much on vaping so have now set myself a £40 per 4 weekly budget. (Unless there's a vaping emergency such as running out of my all day double mint juice) spent this months mainly on juices and a few bits from perpetua.
Next months treats will be a twist And some bigger storage / carry cases (though i might look at sewing my own carry case as not sure I'll be able to buy what i want.
BTW I have two riva's and two ego batteries and much prefer the ego's so you made a good choice there!!!

LOL! Funny that you goys should mention cost! I told myself when I shelled out for the starter kit and juices that it was a lot of money but that I would soon save it because I wasn't buying my 20 cigs a day. Well, last night I was messing around on my iPad and found an app called Vapemate which tells you among other things how much you have spent on vaping vs smoking. At the moment it tells me: Average cost of vaping per week £124 Money saved: - £51!!!! Of course the first one is reducing and the second increasing by the second, u think I am going to wait till vaping is costing me about the same as smoking was, before I start spending more!
