Hello all
i just ordered a 510 Atomiser for direct dripping to test out some new flavours
does it matter where i drip the liquid in the atomiser eg. middle or the side ?
can a atomiser be cleaned in water after testing out each flavours ?
many thanks

That one will have a "mesh" or bridge, or whatever you want to call it - it's the sticky up bit

It will have Hitman, all the 510 atomisers have a mesh bridge in them. It may come with a primer fluid, so blow that through on to a piece of kitchen towel, then follow Colli's dripping instructions.

Going to potenitally make myself sound stupid here. I posted asking about direct dripping last week as I was doing it (dripping onto my riva battery top) using a carto at that point. Was advised to buy an atomiser which I did, but not having great success. But my one does not have a mesh/bridge in there, it's just the wire coil, I thought that was the difference between an atomiser and a carto? ???

Sounds like you have a bridgeless atomiser tobylerone, they are perhaps a little more challenging than the bridged ones. It is a bit of a learning curve with direct dripping. Too little juice and you get burnt/ dry hits, too much and you get gurgling and reduced vapour. If you can describe the problems you are having one of our direct dripping experts will probably be able to help

Hi Dave, just generally not very good. Only get a couple of decent puffs out of it at most and it's just dry/chemically. Should I just drip onto the battery connection then screw on the atty or into the atty directly onto the element? Have tried both, same result really)

Drip onto the element of your atomiser, if it's a bridgeless Bauway that you have, they can take a little time to get broken in. Personally I prefer the bridged 306's or a 901, but that's just my preference.

Interesting, I've seen videos saying to direct drip onto the battery, as long as it's a sealed one like on the ego, so that's what I've generally done. Had no problems apart from it being a bit crap. Can't see how it will ruin it when it's just a flat surface? Apart from clogging the threads, which I regularly clean.

toby there is always a strong risk that the juice may seep through to the battery all it takes is an over tightened carto to push the centre pin to create a gap or split on the grommet that seals the centre pin from the battery
Without the risk off offending you, you wouldn't pour water in a plug socket juice needs to be kept clear of the batteries at all times for the same reason of shorting your battery and/or it possibly exploding or a lesser damage of gassing off and becoming hot and then a dud else why the need for a carto

No offence taken, just been taught incorrectly and certain the video I saw was linked to from this forum!
Thanks for the clarification at last, been trying to get my head round this for a week now!
