During the day I use a tank on an Ego-C twist and that does me all day until about tea time. Then I switch to my ego-C's and my other flavours. However many of these flavours appear harsh and dry to start with, only mellowing after about 10 or 15 minutes, after which I find them very pleasant and will vape them for a couple of hours.
I have tried Dripping but always, all I get is the Dry/Harsh taste which is nothing like the true taste of the juice which really only becomes evident after a little while and so, because of this, I am loathed to waste juice persevering with the dripping method of Vaping.
Okay, it will mean using my clearomisers to test any mix that I may make up in the future, but I do feel that to give any mix a proper go, I will really need to vape it for a reasonable length of time before I deciding whether it needs tweaking or whether it will become a favourite.

I don't know what atomisers you are using but the absolute best atomisers for dripping I have tried are cisco 306 & cisco 510 lr (using a 510 now!). I have never gotten a bad one and they always vape for a good few days ( I use them for my reviews, the 510 is in my most recent eliquid reviews on pinkvaper.com). If you need an atty that gives true flavour the 306 or even cisco 901 lr are the best faff free in my opinion. I would give them a go before heading down the clearomiser route....but that's just me

Thanks Pinkvapour. I am using Bauway 306 LR attys with drip tips. Clearly not properly because the taste I have been getting, no matter which flavour I try, has been pretty awful.
The only reason I gave them a try is because I would like to try mixing my own juice and I thought that an atty would be a good way of testing the mixes. But as I say, I do find that with my shop bought mixes, which I use with clearomisers, do take a few minutes before their true flavour kicks in and I then find them rather pleasant.

Sounds like an issue with the atomizers alright but I wouldn't strike them all out if you've had a bad few....I can't comment on bauway I started on cisco's back when they were released and haven't looked back. Hope you get a set up that works for you. Cass

Bauway 306 are usually fab attys take the atty off the battery and grab a tissue and blow through the atty to remove any juice that may be there then drop 6 drops onto the atty ...leave for a second and then give it a go dont use too high a voltage if you have variable voltage as 3.7ish should be fine does the atty gurgle or have an after hiss... what i mean by that is when you have let go of the ecig button does the atty still hiss for a second ?

Bauway 306 are usually fab attys It may be just an unusual run of luck, but I've found that the 306s sold by Vapour Hut are more reliable than ones I've bought elsewhere. I'm not going to name and slag off the 306s sold by anyone specific vendor - because as I say, it may just be a lucky run - but I would certainly recommend the Vapour Hut ones.

also, when dripping with an LR atty, you are meant to do shorter, quicker drags than usual. not long long lungy ones. so i've heard.

Okay, I am sitting here with both my Viva Nova Tank and my Bauway Atty each on Ego-C batteries. I am vaping Royal tobacco flavour juice in both and the difference between the two tastes is chalk and cheese.
From the viva nova it is a rich, smooth, full flavoured vape that I would quite happily vape 24/7 if there was nothing else on the market.
From the Bauway the taste is so bad that if I didn't know any different, I'd be heading for the shops to buy a packet of fags. :-[
My whole point here is that because the taste is so different between an atty and a clearomiser/tank, that I would not consider using an atty to test the taste of any future mixes because even if it did taste nice from the atty, that is no guarantee that it would be even close to the same from my usual clearos or tank.

As I am used to Clearos anyway and because they are so cheap to recoil and rewick, I guess my safest bet would be to use these to test any future mixes or new flavours. Like most of the equipment and juices I have read about, some folks find them brilliant while others just do not get along with them. I guess the Atty is my Bogeyman.

The other thing to bear in mind is that attys come wetted with a 'primer' juice to keep them in good nick until they are used and this tastes pretty awful. It needs blowing out before you use an atty for the first time

Thanks for these ideas. I have now tried the other atty that I have and clearly I had burnt the first one because the second is slightly better. Hard to describe the taste I am getting from it. Still not a patch on the tank/clearomisers flavour but not burnt so that has to be a start. I think I will order up another couple of Bauways before I dismiss the atty system completely. Afterall, their supporters must find some good in them.
