going out

Off out to the pub tonight for the first time since i started vaping.
i have a fully charged battery and two clearo's and a kanga tank to keep me going, this is the test for me, smoking and drinking has always been a big part of my life.
Feeling confident though !
I'm not sure what to expect off the pub staff/doormen when i start chuffing huge clouds of vapour into the air,whats peoples experiences when out vaping, me and doormen never did see eye to eye

I was quite surprised that all places I've 'checked' i can vape in so far have known exactly what it was..... no problems so far.

It may be legal to vape anywhere, but you do have to respect an establishment's choice to not allow it

On the odd occasion I have been out I still quite like having to go outside sometimes, better conversation! if i know that i will want to vape indoors, i ask and then respect the decission or stealth vape

I would add a spare battery to your kit for tonight though I don't go anywhere without a spare charged battery

What I take out when drinking is involved.

Two full and cleaned/replaced heads vivi novas. Two spare heads.
Spare 10ml bottles of juice.
Provari with full battery, spare battery.
Lavatube in case something goes wrong with the provari.
Kitchen towels for cleaning.
Zebra e-cig, in case everything else goes tits up.

A little over the top maybe, but it's worked so far

I've not tried vaping indoors at a bar and doubt I will. I need vaping when out to stop me smoking with the smokers out with me. Like the socialising part of going out for a fag and don't want to lose that and stay indoors ( however cold it gets). I've only been out once since vaping and did have some stinkies too, but mug more confident with vaping now and will have both my ego and skycig when out next so can mix it up and be discreet if people are around I don't feel like explaining all to.

I think I'd still go outside with the smokers as well, but so far have only been out with non smoking other half, so it's been quite nice not abandoning him in the pub every 30 min or so :-)

I don't go out to pubs etc that often these days. But was amazingly surprised when I asked in the pub in Charlestown & the pub in my village, just down the road to me, if I they knew about e-cigs & if it was OK to vape. Both landlords/landladies said, no problem at all

When I go out I take 2 small pretty batteries, 1 rainbow filled and back up bottle of juice , I vape outside cos it's easier than explaining indoors and don't really have a local so I'm not really known, it s a conversation starter and lots of people have tried it, however as much as I say don't inhale like a cigarette , they do and then there is loads of choking etc

Well
I did ask the nearest person i could find who was ,as he put it not the Gaffa but a cog in the wheel and he said no, more out of not being sure than anything else i think,
So i ended up outside , didn't vape that much so had more than enough kit with me.
I have been at a premier league football match today and feeling very self conscious about vaping, a bit like i am doing something wrong even though i know am not , i waited until half time when lots of people went off to the loo etc and decided to go for it. There was a bank of police and stewards not that far from me and i fully expected at least a what are you doing question so proceeded to fiddle with my phone and try to be inconspicuous.
No one said anything, feels a bit uncomfortable though, think i might be sticking to smoking rules in such circumstances for a while anyway
Absolutely love vaping, not one fag in nearly 2 weeks now

Glad you're loving the vaping so much, and congrats on the 13 days. I think we all have to approach public vaping in our own way. Some are totally confident and brazen, others much more self-conscious and reserved. Either way what impresses me is how infrequently anyone comes up against opposition to their vaping.

No no no, just a small backpack, which also has my NBC suit and water purification tablets, spare phone, kugerrands, leatherman.
