Hi all 3 weeks off the Stinky's yesterday so all good on that front.
BUT............ These V3 rebuildables............
I got some nice new juices to try, apple and Cinnamon, chocolate chip cookie with hazelnut bits, strawberry and cream and ry4.......
I put each in a brand new V3 rebuildable, first few vapes, all lovely, then all a nasty burnt taste, this happened with the last V3 too.
Is it me? am I doing something wrong? Anyone else experience this?
TIA Dan.

Whats your set up and do you know what resistance head you have sometimes using a LR head at too high a voltage will result in a burnt taste also if your liquid is very heavy on VG it might not wick as well although I have not had that problem myself. Dave

I have a similar problem sometimes and have wondered if the juice has been overheated by enthusiastic vaping? I am using ego c batteries, so no high voltage, and the coils are 2.4 ohms.
They can taste a bit like burnt plastic, seems to affect the sweeter more delicate juices. Also the colour of the juice tends to darken, which I again wondered may be due to getting too hot. Not sure of the PG VG ratios, but they are thin compared to others I have seen, so guessing they are high in PG.
I have cleaned the V3s out, then changed the coil, and all seems ok again for a while.

The darkening of juices is quite normal and is caused by sweeteners in the juice caramelising on the coil

Thanks folks for the replies.
The juice is all 60pg/40vg
the coils are all 2.4
the batteries are riva 1100 mah
Thats 5 V3 rebuildables all with the same problem........... (slightly pissed off)
yet the original clearo that came with the kit is awesome!

I also find, that all the Clearo type widgets, need a swish round every so often, to keep the wicks good and wet Dan.

Give the battery connector and pin a really good clean - any e-liquid residue will burn and give the burnt taste. Don't over tighten the tip - that pushes the top bung down and strangles the wick. Give them a try tomorrow - believe it or not it could be your taste buds

I find that when they're less than half full, I get a slight burnt taste. If you're just trying small amounts, you may be better with an atty and a drip tip.

Thanks mate, I never let the clearos get much below half way, in the hope that keeping the wick really wet will prolong its life. Which seems to be good practice as the original non rebuildable clearo that came with my riva kit is still going strong (If not better than ever).

Gotta make a habit of the old tilt n swish, dga. Swish, tilt and vape. Swish, tilt and vape.
And every couple of days - clean n dry burn.
It will become second nature.

Does this apply to brand new clearos? Surely the 5 of them cant need cleaned after 3-4 draws each? I do keep them pretty fully topped up, unless I am out and cant, then, they never empty much below half full. And of course do the tilt and swish carry on. Does anyone wash, dry and dryburn before first use? Would that make a difference? As it stands I definitely wont be buying any more V3 rebuildables. Which is a shame as they are compact and tidy fitting, and you don't look as ridiculous as walking round in public with a tank lol.

Are you using a VG heavy juice Dga? As that maybe isn't wicking so well?
Although the Visions weren't for me I must admit, the Mini Vivi Nova is in my humble opinion a far better option, about the same size as the Visions, so it doesn't look huge for out and about.

I'm not sure, I use a 60/40 pg/vg mix. Is that to heavy? I think the next stop is the vivi mini in that case. Thanks Dan.
