I have only used mini novas, and vivi novas but seems to be between 6w and 7w before a burnt taste for the juice I'm using a 60/40 pg/vg mix.

Thanks guys, so its not my imagination then lol. Yep I like (actually prefer) the vape from dctanks, but found they are great the first fill and leak on the second. I have a tremor in my hands and find them awkward and messy to work with so gave up on them. I dont know if its the fact that they feed from the bottom that I prefer the vape or not tho.
Have looked at a review of the kanger mt3 as something to try in the future with my next order.... has anyone else experience of these?
I have cut down the nicotine strngth from 24mg when I started gradually to 18. I have done it that slow it hasnt really been to much of a problem, although have some 24 in a few less than great flavors I get a bit of a dizzy head on them now, like the first ever cig I smoked lol; but have noticed this with all strengths. Its just more noticable with more left over in the vivi nova than the minis. I think anyway lol.
It seems I have a 30ml bottle of collected backwash saved up, thinking although weak would do me in a pinch If for some reason I did ever run out. I take it is just best binning this stuff then?
I normally wash the novas out with hot water weekly and give them a single dry burn, I seem to get on average about 3 weeks of use per head before the flavor is weak enough to warrant changing. I take it this is about right?
I too have had no problems with the novas, I have my mini novas 5 months, I have spare plastic parts but as yet have not had to use them.
I guess now I have the vamo I have got the bug to try more new rebuildable tanks lol.
Thanks
Dan.

I vape a 60/40 pg/vg mix in both mini novas, and as of tuesday morning a vivi nova.
I had been thinking for a while in the mini novas, by the time the liquid level had got to the .5ml level I was getting vapor but not getting a nicotine hit or atleast a very weak one, also the liquid left had got very thick.
Have got about 3/4 way through a fill in the vivi nova over the last 2 days and now I am convinced I'm not getting a nicotine hit.
I found that topping up the mini novas I got the nicotine hit although not as strong as when I empty the dreggs out and refil from empty.
Am I right or is my imagination playing tricks on me?
Has anyone else noticed this?
While plenty of vapor is nice, I need the hit unfortunately... I'm an addict lol.
Should I go for a lighter 70/30 mix or lighter again?
Also is there a nice big tank like the vivi nova that doesnt leak, easy to replace coils, and feeds from the bottom of the tank? If so what are your experiences with them. I love the mini and vivi nova for the above reasons, so am kind of reluctant to change, but if there is something better out there with a decent capacity I will try it.
TIA
Dan

Thanks guys, Indeed, anyone who is thinking about one of these should go for it. I had been thinking about it for months, I was infact thinking about a lavatube but at the time I was looking around xmas, these had appeared but there wasnt much information on them, so I waited to see what the general opinion was, and a few more reviews on youtube appeared. Loosing one of my riva batteries while out one day sort of forced the issue. The riva batteries where lasting me a full 10-11 hours, I could get from waking to bedtime, but found going much beyond 10 hours the vape was noticably weaker. I also have a vv pasthrough, which seems to last about 6 hours at highest setting before it tails off when not plugged in, although the beauty of it is being able to leave it plugged in at the computer or the car, and it seems to vape only a bit less than the sweet spot I have found on the vamo. The 2 18650 batteries I got for the vamo seemed to have a fair charge in them as 20mins on the charger yesterday morning and they read fully charged. I used it all day yesterday, and so far today the battery according to the vamo is still reading 3.8V, so I will continue with that battery to see both at what voltage it wants to recharge at and how long it lasts between charges. It's fun in a geeky sort of way lol Andy B, how do you find the clearos? I know myself and the others I have advised to get the Riva kit have experienced the same problem I had with them, the clearo that came with the riva kit was brilliant (mine still works 6 months later, although not much flavor from it at all lol) but the replacements I got (5 of) all either leaked if the top was loose enough to get a vape from them, or if tightened enough so as not to leak burned........... all 5 went in the bin. The mini novas although look a bit out of place on the riva batteries, I find are great, great vape, have had no leaks, and much less fiddely to work with. (I have a tremor in my hands so find the mini novas a god send!)Have 2 mini novas now 5 months, had 3 but lost one, replaced the heads a few times only due to muted flavor, never a coil failure yet. Ordered the bigger vivi nova for the vamo, but as yet not tried it. The mini novas have been lasting me all day If out working only needing refilled in the morning, when not working I have to top them up about 7 at night. Pretty good I think! Will be interesting to see how long they last between top ups now with the vamo. I actually enjoyed the vape from the cartos, but just to much hassle, messy and fiddly to fill, even with tanks. What are the rest of you guys and gals using? What are your experiences?

Hi all, Well After nearly 6 months with the Riva 1100 deluxe kit I decided it was time to trade up. Absolutely nothing wrong with the Riva kit, it has been great, and if it managed to keep me away from stinkys its a perfectly capable kit! I had however been advised by some of you a long time ago to get a vv kit. I should have listened sooner lol. This morning My nice shiny new black chrome vamo arived., ordered from vapeescape saturday afternoon. Great service considering I live in N.I. Well anyway after some footering around with setting. for my mini nova and the juice I use, I have found 6.5W the sweet spot for great vapor and much better flavor. An unexpected and great side effect of finding this sweet spot for me anyway, is that I dont seem to want to lift it as often. I have been gradually cutting down the nicotine strength over the months, in doing so had got to the point of chain vaping with the Riva kit. To anyone else starting out, If you are sure you have the determination to quit smoking stinkys, my advice is to get a vamo kit together and bypass the rest. I hope the vendors don't hate me for saying that lol. Big thanks to Perpetua for advising me exactly what to get to put my kit together, and Jason for yet again a great service!

Agreed Perpetua! Just have to put it out of my mind until then lol. I have now got 5 people between friends and family onto this vapping game now lol hopefully going for 6 next week. When my vamo arrives, i'm going to donate my riva kit to my uncle who is currently out of work and struggling to keep up with stinkys! I'll still have my variable voltage passthrough for a descrete vape when out and about. Although I'm no longer self concious vaping in public, I get plenty of questions from strangers and let anyone that wants to try have a go on it, so hopefully many more have followed down the same route!

Thank you Perpetua, I'm happy to stick with Jason as he has been a great reliable vendor so far although he doesnt seem to do a kit. I don't want to fumble and buy mismatched equipment, wasting money I dont have. Perhaps I will email him and find out what he reccomends.

Hi all,
Sorry I have not been about for a while, a hectic life to blame lol.
Anyway, as of the 11th of March, I will not have had a real cig in 6 months thanks to the advice of the good folks here advising me which starter kit to get.
So nearly 6 months with the Riva 1100 deluxe kit and a passthrough battery, the only problem I have had with that was loosing a Riva battery and mini nove yesterday somewhere while I was in town. Doh!
Also in that time I have tried many different tanks, clearos, and cartos. My personal preference has been the mini nova(also tried after advice here), which has been easy to work with, no leaks and the replacement heads seem to last 2-3 weeks before flavor is muted to the point where I feel the need to change!
So anyway, I had been thinking about treating myself to a lavatube or a vamo for my birthday, yesterdays unfortunate event has forced the issue lol.
What are your opinions on said devices? And more importantly where can I buy a new kit everything included (device, battery(s), charger etc at the best price.
Many thanks in advance!
P.S I hope everyone is doing as well as I have been with their vapping journey!
Dan.

I'm not sure, I use a 60/40 pg/vg mix. Is that to heavy? I think the next stop is the vivi mini in that case. Thanks Dan.

Does this apply to brand new clearos? Surely the 5 of them cant need cleaned after 3-4 draws each? I do keep them pretty fully topped up, unless I am out and cant, then, they never empty much below half full. And of course do the tilt and swish carry on. Does anyone wash, dry and dryburn before first use? Would that make a difference? As it stands I definitely wont be buying any more V3 rebuildables. Which is a shame as they are compact and tidy fitting, and you don't look as ridiculous as walking round in public with a tank lol.

Thanks mate, I never let the clearos get much below half way, in the hope that keeping the wick really wet will prolong its life. Which seems to be good practice as the original non rebuildable clearo that came with my riva kit is still going strong (If not better than ever).

Thanks for replies folks, have lossened the tips, cleaned the bases, and put them away for a day or 2 and see what happens.
Thanks again. Dan.
