Hi all. Long time no see. Happy Christmas. Im just about forced to loojk out again for a new e cigarette and gubbins. The reason Im looking out for one is cos a week ago afer having trouble with my lil left toe Ive had to have it amputoeted. It doesnt hurt and hasnt hurt. Its still wrapped up in bandaging. This weather hasnt helped it either. Wen Im wrapped up I even have to have a wooly hat on my left foot coveed by a thick blanket upto m waist. Now Im looking for a Scewdriver. Id like to know the pros and cos of this e cig and what parts do I need. I know I need all but are there anyother extras I need or may need. I've seen theres a Mark 1 and Mark 2 of the Screw Driver. Ive seen some users have lost the switch on their e Cig. Do I need atomisers, juice and the gubbins. I dont want the most expencive but I dot want the cheapest. Which one is recommended and is good. Which juices should I go for.

Hi Tim, what a surprise to see you again and I'm so pleased you thought of us when concluding that you need to take up e-cigs again - good decisions Very sorry to hear you had to suffer the trauma of toe amputation but relieved that it's not hurting you If you don't want to worry about constantly having to tighten up the button on your Screwdriver, go for the MarkI. I have had one for a couple of years, as has Chrissie and some others. It is 100% reliable and cheap to maintain. Trog is selling his MkI for £77 including delivery (a lot less than we paid) and the kit contains EVERYTHING* you need to get started. I would recommend the "mini" (901) rather than the 510. www.cavecom.com/screwdriver/shop/01silverminikit.htm * The package will contain.. * 1 x genuine SD body (silver colour with mini(901) atomiser fitting) * 1 x charger * 2 x rechargable batteries * 2 x mini atomisers * 2 x cartridges * 1 x 10ml bottle of 18mg flue cured liquid * 1 x wrist lanyard * 1 x neck lanyard * 1 x leather carry pouch Now! The batteries for the MkI are not "protected", however I've never had the slightest overheating or any other safety problem with the the Spiderfire branded ones even though I leave them charging for far longer than recommended because I'm forgetful. These batteries are cheaply available from China and a UK company is also selling a different brand at a good price currently. ========== The MarkII Screwdriver, on the other hand, uses "protected" batteries. It is available from Trog in a bigger kit than the MkI for £84 delivered: www.cavecom.com/screwdriver/shop/010silvermk2custom.htmThe package will contain:# 1 x MK2 ScrewDriver body.. Silver/Chrome colour. Mini fitting # 1 x mini to BE112 convertor # 5 x BE112 carts # 4 x BE112 Atomisers # 2 x 1000 mah (rated) rechargable lithium battery # 1 x charger.. USA plug (100-240vac).. buyer to provide their USA to country adaptor # 1 x wrist lanyard # 1 x neck lanyard # 1 x Switch Cap # 30 ml of 24mg Flue Cured Fluid # 1 x Instruction manual ============ *For the MkII you will definitely need a US>UK plug adapter for the charger, I got mine in Superdrug for about £3. I'm not sure yet about the MkI kit but I want to get this response posted so that you know you're being "attended to" My preference is for the MkI because we have James @ Paradise Vapes who will give you superlative service on extra juices, tho' he will be in the US stocking up on his special goodies for a while after Christmas but you can buy more juice elsewhere to tide you over - it's a bit late for delivery for Xmas now, what with the weather I'll see what responses there are to this hasty post and we'll fill in the gaps for you. NB - Trog runs an active forum where you can get support from many users and the designer himself: www.ecigscrewdriver.com/scylla

Hello & welcome back Tim I'm so sorry to hear about you losing your toe I'd agree with Scylla, go for the MK1 SD with the 901 fitting. You could try placing wanted ad in our classified section to see if anyone has one for sale. Been sort of thinking of selling my gold one as I've hardly ever used it.

Hi all.On the subject of screwdrivers,im looking for a few more batteries for my MKII.Ive only ever purchased them from TW and they are good batteries but after say a month or so they seem to really knock off in performance and take longer to charge.Ive got two fresh ones from the sale but could someone kindly let me know where else i could try batteries from please??Ive always been very unsure with SD batteries and am not convinced im using the best ones.

Hi Tim, sorry about your health problems x
I bought my Screwdriver MK11 from the TW sale, I got the lot including a spare battery / atty kit for just over £70.
The button is a pain in the A** but if you remember to screw it back up all the time it's OK.
I've also found that it needs the LR atties to give a good hit, but the hit it gives with them is brilliant.

Thanks Chrissie.I will defo get some to try,i totally agree that the vape of the screwdriver MKII with an LR atty/carto is unbeatable. Its my favourite device apart from the button.I totally agree that as long as you keep an eye on the button and tighten it up regular its a great device. The main thing i dont like is that the button is so easily activated, which is great for vapeing, but so many times the cap springs off the button while in the pocket.Ive set the button off so many times without realising.Could any one tell me the difference with the MKI as i havent used one before.
