Hi everyone, new member here seeking advice about slim e cigs. I'm a rollie smoker (lover!) and am trying to find a thin e cig. Can anyone recommend something thinner than a fake normal sized one? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure there is one, I was smoking rollies, the feel of the cig-a-like felt strange to start with, but after a couple of days was feeling natural. In fact I think I probably smoked less than 60 straights in the last 5 years, and the difference in size and feel was one of my concerns, but as I say, you soon get used to the feel.

I've never seen anything that thin. The issue (even with cig-alikes) is battery life. An e-cig the size of a rollie would always be on charge

Hello & welcome Niamh As Gothic & Onday say, the small ciggie lookalike e-cigs have dreadful battery life between charges & they aren't as slim as a rollie. However, we do have many members that were rollie smokers & they have easily adjusted to using the larger e-cigs.

My hubby was a rollie chain smoker until eight weeks ago, he's not touched one since he got his ego twist batteries and viva nova tank. Never thought I'd see the day that he wasn't attached to a rollie Wishing you success

Hi Niamh, I smoked rollies until a few weeks ago, and I initially wanted a small cig lookalike, which I eventually bought. I then got vaping envy and bought myself one of the larger battery kits. The larger batteries are very easy to get used to, have even used them in the pub, so if I were you I wouldn't worry too much about the size. I used to love rollies as well! But believe me, these lovely people will stear you to something much better!

Welcome to the forum niamh.
You'll get more advice here than you can use.
Mine is as follows:
I used to be a rollie smoker, and whatever else you do, try OK Smokey double flavour Old Holborn. 18mg should do you.
Here everybody likes big batteries, but if you're more comfortable with the cig-alikes, ignore everybody and get them - you can upgrade later. - but get at least three batteries. Get at least one in black, with a green or blue LED - you often want people to know you're vaping, not smoking.
Boge cartomisers are good - worth the extra £ vs. e.g. OK Smokey's filled ones.
You can try different flavours and batteries later - important thing is to get started.
It may be some while before you find something that is quite as good as a rollie, but you will find it - in fact most of us reckon its better. And you'll find something better than ready-mades straight away, and with a bit of luck and faith that should be enough to get you off the stinkies

I used to smoke at least 50g of amber leaf a week, I got my cig-a-like kit, and haven't had a roll up since, in fact I've moved on to a system where the battery is slightly bigger than a hamlet cigar, as I said, it takes getting used to, but it will feel natural after a couple of days

Ex rollie smoker here too, I got some look a like cigs and haven't had a single rollup since. My regular juice is menthol but I do try other flavours out to see if I can find some other favourites. I have never gone out to try and find a juice that would taste like my rollies, to make the break I went for flavours that were miles away from tobacco flavours initially. Pam

Its only natural to want something that is as near as damn it to your faithful friend,as a physiological thing in your head is happening,as you make one of the biggest and best decisions of your life, you will even want it to taste the same too, nothing wrong with feeling that way,I smoked rollies,I had ciggalikes to start with,I smoked and vaped and took my time making the transition to what are now, three rather large mods.I have been on here a while, yet not long thrown that tin of tobacco away. Its your journey it may take some several paths, you may stop straight away, one things for sure.......we will be there every step of the way Edit and sorry for not saying welcome

Hi and welcome Niamh! I think the poll (on here?) a wee while back showed that a lot of vapers were former rollie smokers - I have a feeling that rollers are more used to the ritual of smoking, and so the rituals of vaping (filling cartos, cleaning gear, having a 'kit') help to fill some of the habits that you have around smoking. I know it helps me when I'm messing with my gear, because I'm so used to spending time rolling up! For me, it was hard to treat an ecig like a ciggie - held in two fingers - because of the weight, even of the cigalikes, but once you get used to holding the barrel of the ecig in your hand it feels a lot more comfortable. The SDKeyring is a really small battery which still packs a bit of a punch, and is more the length you'd associate with a rollie - clickySooner than you think you'll probably want the convenience of a bigger battery, but right at first you may just want something that feels familiar and is easy to carry around. Though a lot of us start with the Riva kit - clicky! If you can get to a shop where you can try something out, that's the best way to find out what's most comfortable. Jason at VapeEscape has a cigalike kit for £22 with 5 cartos and two batteries - clickySkycig have a new discount code for Oct DEFA which brings the price down to £20 if you want to try their version - clicky - but even if you do, it's worth getting some cartos and juice as their flavours are quite chemical tasting I found. The only advantage this has over the 510 kit is the PCC (charging case). The Grizwald's range at VE has some great flavours, and you can get a pick n mix pack of 5 to try some out for about £13. Enjoy the adventure of finding out what suits you best! Good luck! Nick
