Watching the frenzied shoppers on the news it would be my idea of shopping purgatory . . . although having always been in retail I love working in a busy store!

I love bargains but could never face crowds. Come to think of it though, I used to go to Oxford Street every Saturday but mainly poodled about in the roads around Selfridges, St Christopher's Place was nice.

Many, many years ago I used to go to the January sales - when they where actually in January

I used to work in the West End Scyll - many years ago. New Bond Street. So I was well in amongst it all, it didn't seem to bother me then. I particularly loved Soho and the Jazz Clubs.

But now I'm old and crotchety, I don't like it at all. When I have to take paintings for the London Galleries, I go straight there and back (virtually on the next train!!) MM

Glad it's not just me who loathes battling the crowds when I'm shopping, I've a friend who starts queuing outside Next at 4.30am, quite mad.

Read & replied MM , apologies for the delay, been working today and have been staggered at how busy I've been.

Although it will be a miracle if I don't get a cold or summat as every other customer has been in spluttering narsty germies over me.

I can remember the days as well Chris, when the January sales actually happened in January, times have certainly changed.

Well its still a bit behind the times here I'm glad to say as the sales don't start until mid January.

magicma, regarding the mini 901, I am so hoping that you take to it well. it was my first real start to vaping, in fact i still use it! as long as you watch the batteries (depending on how much you use it of course) i still think it's a great e-cig and much to be enjoyed. xx

Won't it Chris, and agreed Beepsie . . . it was my very first ecig as well which I very happily used for the first two months of vaping.

Mind you, we may get MM with a Screwdriver or GG yet!
