You are honoured Chrissie - all I've ever got from James is ignored !! Have to say though, he does have the patience of a saint - if I had his job I would probably have been sacked by now.

Lol Stan, not sure about being honoured - in some ways, where eBay Pinks are concerned, ignored is a good thing And if I had James' job - I'd have walked out soon after the new community platform was found to be unworkable. I know it's his job to do so but can't see how he can continue to defend the so called "Next generation". Can sort of understand why he is lashing out at anyone that points out the many problems there are with it.

I'd dread opening up my emails if I had his job tbh, whilst it is his paid employment, must be hellishly soul destroying as there seems so little actual job satisfaction from what we see, in having to be constantly defending some duff Ebay decision/system or another.

On the eBay boards when you do a para break instead of the usual two carriage returns just do one and you won't get the yards of blank space. Problem is it's very difficult to remember to do one only just for eBay's rubbish boards.

It's just all too much like hard work though Clutter I find . . . not that I posted on the boards very much, but the groups are equally as bad and the ones I enjoyed are dead as a dodo. Infact two have closed this last week, due to lack of member participation.

Me too Scylla, it wasn't a good time to start it really . . . I just didn't have enough spare moments.

An eBay cat group I belong to had always been busy with lots of post for 5 years - until the new platform was introduced. It's now dying

Just a little update.
I've been emailing various screenshots to James (as requested by him), showing various glitches/problems & he has been lovely in all of his replies. So if any of you are having problems with the new ebay platform, let James the Pink know - he is trying to help.

Thanks Chris, I've always found James to be really helpful . . . although I'm going to close my little group, I've decided. No one likes the new group format, not being able to see all the previous posts is a real pain when you're replying. So far this month, there's been 4 new posts, 2 from me - we used to be quite a buzzing little group as well.

It's very very sad. I suppose it's no skin off eBay's nose if the groups die, as long as the "help" boards tick over just well enough to compensate for eBay's own lack of customer service They couldn't care less if the boards are no fun any more. scylla

Perpy, one of the groups I'm in has moved to eBay.com groups. With the US platform, you not only get a reply box at the bottom of a thread but you are also taken to the last post you read plus you can c&P from photobucket. It's completely saved the group moving it there.

We're the poor relations as always. Tagging on their coat-tails all the way to Iraq, selling off our national assets to make easy-money millionaires, privatising the NHS... and we're only little Oops, am soap-boxing again scylla

Scylla, I just don't understand why we didn't get the same new platform as the US did I'd have thought it would have been best for eBay if all the community platforms where consistent? But I guess they where just being tight & wanted to save some money on the EU one.
