sadie why not put an extra order in on payday and ask for it to be held over then you would have paid and it would be steeping so when you placed your next order the first one could be sent out already steeped although i could imagine this being a nightmare if more people were to do it as keeping control on who has paid for what in advance just a thought though if money is an issue just up your order for delayed post, a bit at a time if you get my drift

colliwobbles, money isnt the issue for me , i just wanted to ask if i could ask if the vendors could prepare my bottles 2 weeks in advance, so they are ready steeped for my purchase, but of course its handy for other forum members to know .

I can only echo what Jason and Frogster said. You never can really tell what will sell from one day to the next due to reviews, people talking about a particular flavour to their mates or them trying a mates etc etc so many variables really. I offer a wide range of nic strengths and they all get ordered throughout the scale, plus there's with cooling effect, without cooling effect. Some people want to customise it further, such is the beauty of mixing to order. I am quite happy to adjust flavours. Some people want more strawberry with their doughnut, some want less, some ask for 40% VG instead of the standard 30, some order 70% VG. If I were to premix them, you'd get a choice of 0mg, 6mg, 12mg, 18mg and 24mg. (Less stock on the 0mg and 6mg as they don't sell as much as the higher although I do sell a fair amount of lower ones but 18mg is the most popular followed by 24mg then the 8-12mg range ). No choice of with or without cooling, no choice for some people who need a custom one of higher VG, no choice of customising it further to personal tastes. I can't have bottles in every nic strength, flavour and all the other options available premixed, some may not sell for a while, it ties up money that could be spent back into more stock that does sell. Again you never know what's going to be 'flavour of the day or week'. A particular one of mine that sells steadily but is not a 'top' seller, has this week had a sudden increase of orders. One of the top sellers has slowed down a bit lately and been overtaken by another. You just can't tell in advance. All juices have the date they were made on the label, some of them are fine to vape by the time it reaches you but steeping suggestions are on all labels and the product page if they need longer. Some of it comes down to personal tastes. A juice that needs 5-7 days to steep from the results of my observations when creating the recipe and from my taste testing teams evaluations may taste fine 24-48hrs after it's been made to the person who bought it, in which case I always say if it tastes good to you, feel free to vape it now. As for times of delivery, vendors who have been around awhile have set a standard. They are fast, usually sending out same day so vape land expects the same in general for all vendors. This puts an awful lot of pressure on those who mix to order. As Jason mentioned it depends on when someone orders whether it goes out same day, it can also depend on how many bottles have been ordered, although a realistic timescale is within 48hrs. Of course, there are times it gets crazy busy and there's only so many bottles you can make in a day and get them out in time. I'm already thinking how manic the 2-3wks before Christmas is going to be! Not only is there mixing many, many bottles a day, everyday (yes, including weekends, I certainly don't get much time to do anything else) there is also dealing with customer queries coming at you left, right and centre either directly through the site, through forums, facebook page etc However you do something, there will always be people who think it should be done a different way Vendors work very hard and do the best that they can. I like to offer the ability to customise juices to personal taste, it's part of what makes Pixie Juice, Pixie Juice. Vapers can choose from a wide range of vendors and juices now and can buy whatever suits them best, whether pre-mixed or made to order and customised even more to their requirements. I believe as a vaper and customer and now a vendor (and still a vaper!) we have an industry to be proud of where customer service, delivery and choice is second to none and I'm speaking of the majority of vendors out there who do a grand job. Unfortunately you can't please everyone no matter how hard you try and that's not aimed at the OP just a general thought I'm sure all are happy to listen to suggestions and implement them where they can.

I mix my own most of the time. If/when I want to treat myself to a good juice (also to see where I am going wrong ) I know to which vendors I would go. I also know where to go to get bog standard juice, in fact I MAKE bog standard juice!!

Personally I'm happy to wait for juice to steep in my home rather than the vendor's property. I know that if I prefer a flavour after a week, I'll order it a week before I use it.
I learnt very early on (when I was almost wringing out paper towels of e-juice in to cartos & waiting on the next order) that I need to plan ahead and always make sure I have next week's supply before I need it.
One supplier recently asked on this forum if we were happy for our juice to be sent second class and allow Royal Mail to steep our juice for us and was inundated with people saying no. I'd prefer to know that I can order some juice in the morning and be vaping on it the following day if I'm close to running out, I'd much rather be vaping some "immature" juice than puffing on a ciggy.
It's unrealistic for our suppliers to make up 5,000 bottles on the off chance that some of them will be bought, ultimately it will be us the buyers who will be hit for the wastage (or the suppliers go out of business, something I'm sure none of us want to happen).
As a side note, have you thought that some people might prefer their e-juice fresh and un-steeped?

Well. Then it comes down to patience and planning. But we're all addicts! We're rubbish!
Haha. Actually, I have found that warming the juice up in a bowl of water helps a little. And having more than one favourite flavour, so we can toot on one particular juice while waiting for another to come of age.

When I smoked "tailor mades, I bought 200 at a time, and never ran out. When I then swapped to rollies, I bought bootleg 5 x 50 gram pouches at a time, and never ran out. Now I vape, I always have around 200 mls steeped and ready to vape. It amazes me that so many buy so little at a time

As a side note, have you thought that some people might prefer their e-juice fresh and un-steeped? I can't argue with any of this and am struggling to see what the issue is. If you want it steeped, then it'll steep just as well in your cupboard as it will in the vendors' cupboards, so stay one step ahead of what you need to order. As to second class delivery, what's the difference between it steeping in the RM depot or in a cupboard in your own house? If the instructions are there on websites that the juices have been ordered from, then why should the vendors need to do anything else. Maybe they should also advise upon which device they taste best out of and at what wattage they should be vaped at if they're expected to spoon-feed people. I'd personally like to see menu suggestions on the labels.

I only use 20-25 mls a week, so thats enough for over 2 months. When im down to 100ml I`ll simply mix another batch. Got 200 mls 54% nic. 100 mls VG. 1/2 gallon de-ionised water. loads of flavours, but 3 are for my favourite juice.

I honestly don't know how many mls a day I vape now, because I use several different attys and juices every day. Any juice that goes in Penelope with a mult-wick gets drank very fast. I have been thinking about it recently and may try to work out what my daily usage is now

I stick, pretty much to the same concoction. I also decant to several 20ml bottles. So its easy for me to know what amount Im vaping. Got a new bottle out 1st thing today and only used about a third, so 6-7ml. Maybe 12ml by bedtime. EDIT: Meant yesterday.
