Jason, is it hard to predict a rough number of what e.juices are going to sell and how many of each flavour in a week or month ?

I'm sorry Sadie, that may work for vendors who use forums etc, but most vendors wouldn't do that, you wouldn't ask Tesco or any other business to prepare and hold onto an item until your payday for you. That's a lot of extra work for the vendor. Keeping track of who has to pay when, you may be lucky if they do it as a one off, but it's unlikely they would do it on a regular basis sorry i was only thinking of frogsters, pixie's and griz's e.juices

Pixie makes hers to order.
Grizwalds are made to order.
Froggies are made to order.
Vapology are made to order.
Most other e-liquids are a stock item, AFAIK, so already steeped and ready to vape.
Complicated recipes are the ones that need more time resting, due to the many concentrates that need to blend together.

I can not speak for other vendors, but the view of the alchemist is pretty much word for word what Perps has already said… she sums it up as:- It's a difficult one, do you hang onto a customer's order waiting for a juice to steep . . . or do you dispatch it in a timely manner, as we've all come to expect from our Vendor's. I do it the way I do it for various reasons… As I offer various strengths etc, I make my juice to order, not in large batches, in fact my stock level is only about 100ml to 200ml, ready made of any one flavour of juice at the most used strength, so there is not a quantity of it laying around steeping, or going stale, or going to waste, as that just puts the price up. That is always under review, and being tweaked. I carry enough of most stock flavours and bases, to make juice to individual requirements the same day as ordered. I try to make and post orders out within 24hrs of receiving them, I advise people of allowing time for steeping and maturing (on the website and in 2 different e-mails and on the invoice), I can’t be held responsible for people failing to read or take my advice. You can never please everyone all the time…. - If I held on to juices before posting - some would complain.
If I had a large stock of ready made, matured juice, there is a lot of money tied up, that needs to be covered, so the price will go up - some would complain. If some juice went to waste as it wasn’t used, the price of other liquids would go up, to cover for it - some would complain. So, I make and post my juice out very quickly - still some complain.
I do the best I can, make the best I can, with a view to please the majority, and keep the cost down to the end user. That is MY Business model. I like doing what I do, but realise there will always be someone that may not be happy with the way I or other vendors operate, and will offer advice or procrastinate on how they would do it differently – my response would be – “Go on then”!

Jason, is it hard to predict a rough number of what e.juices are going to sell and how many of each flavour in a week or month ? A lot harder than you might think Sadie, yes. There are always strong sellers, but the market can change very quickly, if for example there are a few reviews on the forums of a particular liquid. That's one of the reasons why the 5ml's were brought in - as a sort of back up and to allow people to try the liquids how they end up after resting (the 5ml's are usually prepared at least a few days in advance). Black Cat is a good example because it is the most popular, so you would think we could prep it in advance, but apart from going through the ingredients just about as quickly as we can get them in, it was ordered in about 30 different strengths last month. Better to stay as we are, from our point of view. But, if the majority think that the wording on the site should be different then I'm all ears Within reason of course

Question for Frogster & Pixie, if i placed an order 2 weeks before my payday and evan gave a deposit if needed, would you be able to make up my liquids and hold on to them until a said date, say my pay day, the date arrives and i pay ? would you be happy with that ?

No, I personally think that you, (Jason & Frogster) have got it right, the advice is there for people to follow, if they choose not to do it, then they will not enjoy the juice at its' best. Their loss.

For me the beauty of buying freshly mixed juice is that I can ask for it to be made slightly differently. For example, I always ask for my 30ml bottles from Jason to be mixed at 15%. Other vendors are quite happy to change %s of VG/PG to suit individual customers. I don't see how vendors could meet these subtle sometimes fickle preferences by making up large batches in advance.
Customers have the choice to buy from vendors who have ready made liquids on sale and vendors who will mix to order. I really don't see what the problem is ???

I know we all have different expectations of our vendors. But if they are expected to "stockpile" juices, so we as customers, have it ready to vape, they will have to increase prices to cater for that. *GRIZ........ Get back down that cellar, I need another 2000 bottles on the shelves tonight* Because someone is unable to wait 2 days for it to be vapable???? Plus..... Who pays for juices that go off? My juice tends to go darker after a few weeks, can you Imagine the scene when someone gets brown juices when its usually a creamy colour?

Sadie, if you knew what you wanted in advance.... I could do that for you..... but it is a limited to you offer. If everyone wanted it that would reflect in a change of business model and therefore price.
