Over the last couple of days and after watching too many youtube videos. I'm considering a VV ecig. I'm not into collecting ecigs for the sake of collecting them, but I think a VV ecig would enhance my vaping experience. Here is why and let me know if I'm wrong here. When I vape on a fully charged riva it's good and for the most part I'm quite happy with the taste. Further on throughout the day I notice the taste diminishes and the vapour does too. This I believe according to what I've read is because as the battery is used it lowers the voltage steadly. So if I buy a VV ecig I will be able to get the same consistent taste and vapour, correct? Now I don't mind investing more in one of these devices if it really will improve my experience. The question is what to buy and where is best to buy it? Also cost is important too. I'm not made of money, unfortunately. The one I'm most considering is the Gripper. It looks well built and seems ideal, the problem is the price of the charger and batteries increases the price by a lot. I don't see any gripper 'kits' or the like. The other one I'm considering is the Lavatube. Mainly because you can buy it as a kit for quite a reasonable price. Would appreciate your thoughts. And if there are other options out there I'm not aware of. Ta.

I've been using the lavatube for a year in... two months. I can't fault it at all and would reccommend you get one if you're looking to get a robust vv ecig. It's the poor man's provari but gets the job done.
The only thing I've needed to buy since I got the lavatube are "heating elements" and juice. I stopped looking for a "better" ecig once I got it.
Don't want to force you into it, just speaking from experience - I love my lavatube and it's replaced every other ecig I have, which are quite a few from collecting various models.
Good luck and hope you find what you're looking for!

As nice as the twist looks, I can't help but feel by spending a little more I can get something a great deal better. The kits on ecigwizard for a lavatube start at 54 quid. IF I had known about it, I would have just ordered one instead of even getting a riva. I like the look of the charger too. No more fiddling around with the little usb riva charger. No worrying about tightening it too much.
I will be really looking into this before buying. Not being impulsive this time.
EDIT: Just noticed vapeescape does a kit for £60 with two batteries, charger and atomiser. Hrmmm

That's interesting. They all seem to come with slightly different batteries depending on vendor. I wonder which is best. Also the vapeescape one is the 18350 kit while on other vendors for the most part have been 18650, anyone willing to dumb this down for me a bit?

I have a gripper and I get on very well with it, I have 3 lava tubes that get little use these days because I prefer the ego twist. But, all of these vv mods from china have pretty much the same 510 connector and you still have to be careful not to screw things on tight with them because their centre posts will get pushed in.

ewol an 18350 battery is 35mm long, an 18650 is 65mm long. The lavatube 'mini' uses the shorter battery. It has exactly the same functionality but obviously a reduced battery life between charges

blakey, that's interesting. Why do you prefer it? It's significantly cheaper so I'm curious. onedayillquit, thanks buddy. I'm a strong believer of bigger is better.

Mainly because of the Penelope attie that I use on it but also being an ego fitting it allows the use of pretty much anything you want to put on it without the need for adapters. The 900mah version that I use has a decent lifespan between charges and isn't too big. Its reliable and potent and more pocket friendly

1x 18650 is all it takes and you should get a day out of it vaping normally, and yes, its a 510 fitting so a nova will be fine, I actually use a nova on mine along with a DiD geneis attie. You'll have to search for a kit though I just bought the gripper as a mod only as I already have batteries and chargers. Apart from keeping the 510 connector clean there is zero maintainance

Personally, I wouldn't go for a kit, best to buy the batteries and charger separate. May cost slightly more but will save you wanting to upgrade to a better charger and batteries at as later date
