Good point. You can make out the airhole in this picture.. Looks to be a touch small but people have their preferences..May be slightly high too..Might have been better hidden in the top of the three design reliefs do you think? A bit of resin/metal epoxy in the existing hole and a cobalt drill bit should sort it.. Personally I think your right. If your confident you can get them to change it the way we want, then fill your boots. But my personal view is let's see what we get, and worse case, bring out the epoxy.

Might not be too bad macca as the base is quite thick. The hole's probably better being small as it's easier to ream out than it is to fill it in. I think that's spot on..Looking at the threads on the top cap they begin quite deep..I think they have drilled the hole a couple of mm above where the threads finish. Third piccy. I will request them to see if they can line it up to the hole without the plug ie., mark and drill after fitting.

I will request them to see if they can line it up to the hole without the plug ie., mark and drill after fitting. I hope the hole does not end up being too big, I prefer a tight(ish) draw. If its too small it can be drilled out easier than made smaller if it's too big.

I will be making an enquiry with The Mesh Company, Warrington tomorrow for bulk buy of #500 mesh. As far as I know no one else makes it. Maybe China. I saw some 625 mesh from China but it is a twill weave. #500 mesh is defo better, almost twice as good. Will depend on your juice consistency but it's better regardless. Kanthal, it depends on how much you want. If you really want to stock up there is a guy in the US who does 75 feet for about a fiver. he changed his user name but he's still around. Edit link added; CLICKY
