I've just wicked and coiled this.

Couple of questions.

I found that this screw doesn't grip toooo well, the wire I mean.



And what's this for. Sorry I'm dumb. Have I set it up wrong. I've got it vaping nice.



The only other thing of note, my Wickis about 45 ddegrees off from the airhole. But I don't know if that is user error again. Either way, an absolute steal. Very happy.

There is a discussion going on on UKV about 'solid' mesh wicks v 'straw type' (hole through middle)

It's a fairly polite discussion and raises some interesting points.

I know Toby over at UKV used that for his FG wick Not sure yet but when I do a U mesh wick whether to use that for ground have to see what the others decide

I'm not too eager for silca wicks, but will give it a try. I've got this vaping bloody well now I have to say iI'm impressed. And no leakage or gurgles just yet.

Can someone tell me the mesh dimensions for a single mesh wick?

Mine is 35mm x 30mm hxw rolled to 2mm on a thin paperclip and then 4 turns of .25 Kanthal

ok I have made a mesh wick and got it into the hole. I've made 4 coils and every one has immediately popped between the top coil and the posi post. I'm thinking this happens when the wire between the wick and post is too long, but I can't get it any shorter. Any suggestions / help?

Im by far not an expert on mesh wicks.

But the 3rd coil down, looks to be too far off the mesh!

It is a bit awkard as the hole is to far over but bend the wick till its nearly touching center post and also try and get your coil a bit tighter one trick is a needle down the center of the wick and make it swell
