My first business trip abroad, taking my provari and a vivi with a small bottle of juice, worked a treat btw, only thing was my provari was pulled by the security bods and given a swab lol the guy scanning after finding out what it was, decided to ask if they work how good, comical there's me being checked over and he is asking if it works haha.. all in all Provari's get checked ;-) the vivi with juice inside never got touched lol

You'd think that by now airport security would have had some training on the stuff people carry onto planes and would at least be aware of e-cigs, if not the detail of varieties

But look at all the different types and how they can vary widely in looks. I can hardly keep up, let alone an airport security person, who knows nothing about ecigs, apart from the fact most of them look like real fags.

I had my bag searched and had to open my ego case which contained around 4 batteries, at the airport. they said it looked like 'stuff' not exactly sure what kind of 'stuff' and at 4.00 in the morning I CBA to ask They also asked if I had coins in my purse ??? On the return flight I put my ego case into the tray, opened and nobody batted an eyelid!

On the return flight I put my ego case into the tray, opened and nobody batted an eyelid! That's the best policy - get everything out in plain sight and inform the conveyor belt stacker that you have e-cigs. They know what they are and know what to look for. never had hassle that way.

I don't see why you're surprised about them checking it. Could be a good way to either hide drugs and I believe it's even possible to vape certain drugs from what I've read. So not at all surprising they want to swab it.

Surprised they check the provari, because I had a full vivi and they look dodgy yet they didn't bother to even look at that, in a clear bag with a bottle of juice, if it was me I would have checked both items... Oh I expected to get pulled its an airport ;-) all in all my German clients loved it.

They swab for traces of explosives (nitrites I think) And egos and rivas look like bullets to the xray scanner

it is - I'm pleased I'm tall, so they're a long way away from my nose... And yet still they tell you to take your shoes off to go through the scanners...

I'm flying out of city to Switzerland next month on business and I don't know if I should risk taking the gripper with me, it is so un-cigarette like it might draw too much attention and be hard to explain especially on the swiss side ???
