I'm so confused about the compatibility of cartomizers. I bought a trial Creator battery with some cartomisers (it's going against the grain to spell it with a Z, sorry) and I thought it was the best vape I'd experienced. But it wasn't a terribly good battery and when it died I didn't want to take a chance and reorder. Cartomisers can be charged on 901 chargers but I couldn't get a vape out of them with a 901 battery, and they're not suitable for vaping on, say, a Screwdriver because they're short so the body of the SD is very close to the lips. Does anyone (I'm thinking peeps like Chrissie and Prof Beard here ) know what batteries cartomisers work with? Also, I've seen this adapter mentioned on ECF, and I don't understand what its purpose is - everyone talking about it seems to understand it but I don't www.shop.vaporcountry.com/product.sc;jsessionid=178C26F019B2E63AB85A431773526BD4.qscstrfrnt04?productId=220&categoryId=1What's needed is an extension - does one exist? To anyone who doesn't know what a cartomiser is, it's a combined cartridge and atomiser which takes more juice than any other cartridge so it doesn't need filling so often - also, my ones lasted ages, and, when Toby (www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk) has them in stock ! they come in Cappuccino flavour Here's a video that may explain all: scylla - muddled and tired

Scylla, I've never used Cartomisers - yet. From what I've read, though the threads are compatible with 901's, they need some sort of groove in them - to let in air I presume? I've heard that they work really well on the GG Slim. Will try & find out more for you

Cartos work with K808-1D (or equivalent batteries). A "pure" 901 battery or connector won't work because the Carto needs an "air hole" to breathe - to make it work requires a modified 901 connection (with a slot or hole), an adapter, or you can use the "staple mod" (look this up on ECF).

...if you & anyone else would like to join in with a bulk order to keep the postage down? Me would That 901 adapter is not long enough to suit using the cartomiser with a Screwdriver-style PV, it would still be too close to the face. Great for ordinary 901 batteries though. Maybe start a thread? Because Amy does other models/spares that non-cartomiser fans may be interested in ordering Prof, I saw the staple mod mentioned on ECF but haven't yet found a guide to doing it - I also saw that air-holes can make the vape too weak, so it's obviously a learning curve and trial & error. scylla

Brilliant I'll start a new thread Scylla, I can see what you mean by the 901 adapter not being long enough for the SD. Now this may be a daft thought (bear in mind I've not used cartomisers so far) but would screwing on dead 901 atty work? Or would the fact it being dead stop any current going through it?

If you screw a 901 atty directly into whatever PV, there's nothing for the cartomiser to screw into. Vice versa also applies.
I've been searching ECF and YouTube trying figure out what the staple mod is but no luck.

Ah Scylla, I knew it had to be a daft idea - of course the cartomiser has a thread on it duh! MM, it's an all in one atomiser & cartridge. I'll find a piccy or video to show you. Scylla, I'll try & find some info on the staple mod for you.
