Nearly a fortnight off the smokes now. Thanks to all the advice I got here, mine was a smooth switch over to vaping but I need your help again.
I bought a 50 ml bottle of juice that doesn't have a narrow top for filling my vivi nova so I bought some syringes. Trouble is the pharmacist wouldn't sell me the needles without a prescription. Using the syringe without a needle is awkward and it's hard to keep the juice away from the centre (coil?) of the nova. Is there a workaround solution to this? Also, is it ok to re-use the syringe? I cleaned the outside with an alcohol wipe, but should I flush it out with water?

Tip the nova to the side slightly put the tip of the syringe just inside the edge and aim to slowly trickle the juice down the inside wall of the nova. If any juice does get into the centre tube just reassemble the top and get some tissue and blow down the mouth piece onto the tissue to clear it.

Hi addict Well done on your fortnight. It's a bit difficult to advise you on the filling without knowing exactly how big the syringe head is. Obviously you could buy a different needle or some bottles with dropper tips. Needles for injecting into people are probably a bit narrow anyway. Might be better off with something like www.amazon.co.uk/10ML-SYRINGE-CARTRIDGE-REFILL-GREASE/dp/B001EJQMHG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351706963&sr=8-1I got my last lot of bottles from Cloud 9 vaping. In the meantime, it's not the end of the world if some of your juice goes in the centre. blow it out onto a tissue before you attach the battery. btw, I don't know who is selling you juice without a dripper tip, but i don't think they should. Maybe a mistake - might be worth emailing them.

Ellen, that spiky thing looks good. Is it reusable or will I need to buy a few?
Thanks Pam. I used your method but still managed to splash the liquid. When I realised it was splashing I rolled up some tissue and stuck it inside the centre, but the more careful I tried to be the more my hands shook and the tissue fell out. Mr Bean would have been proud of me. I'm a tad impatient when things don't go right first time.

Forgot to say - I'd re-use the syringe without washing unless I was going to change the liquid or not use it for a couple of days. But then I wouldn't have bothered with an alcohol wipe to clean the outside either.

How about putting a little blob of blu-Tac over the hole while you fill it. Obviously remove and cleant it with a paper towel. Then screw the top back on and vape away

Sorry, Giles, you and I must have posted at the same time. The syringe head looks much the same size as the one in your link. I should be able to cope with the syringes until the spiky thing arrives, especially now that I know it's ok just to blow out the excess. I also cleaned the middle with a cotton bud. Warnings about the dangers of rechargeable batteries have me feeling a bit scared that I'll do some drastic damage. A dripper tip came with the bottle but it's so small it would take me forever to fill the mini nova.
Wow, so many replies while I was typing this. Those dispensing needles look the biz. I have lots of options now. Great people on this forum. Thank you so much.

She didn't say it doesn't have a dripper tip, but said "I bought a 50 ml bottle of juice that doesn't have a narrow top" Normal bottle dripper tips are too wide to comfortably fit into a nova top without a lot of tilting.

Ellen, that spiky thing looks good. Is it reusable or will I need to buy a few? You can just rinse them out and use them again, they're just bits of plastic, but always handy to have back ups

I've never used anything to fill my mini nova except the bottle nozzles. If you tip the bottle so the liquid comes out and goes down the side of the tank, it works fine. You can even use a bottle without a nozzle if you just pore it in slow enough.

I find the dripper tips on 30ml bottles just a tiny bit too big to comfortably slip down the side of a mini nova, 5ml bottles however are perfect.
Have you got an empty 5ml bottle that you could decant some of the 50ml liquid into? Then you could just re-fill the 5ml bottle as and when you need to.
Most of the bottles and spikey things etc. can be re-used. Just wash them out in hot water and leave upside down to dry. The only time I struggle is if I've got something with a really strong flavour (you could try leaving them in vodka overnight to shift any lasting flavours).

Just ordered two of the spikey things. They only had two left so I also ordered a couple of empty bottles. That should keep me going for a while. Thanks to everyone for your help.

I don't know where I would be without my spikey thing I don't even look much when i fill a clearo now because the needle just fits down the side, no way is that liquid going to go down the centre hole.
