An odd thing . . .

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or thoughts here, I sent Sean a 510 to 901 adaptor . . . it doesn't fit his 510 batteries or the Sidewinder for some reason that is beyond me to fathom.

I've exactly the same adapter here, purchased as a 2 pack on the EM order . . . tried it on my SB & Tornado batteries, fits perfectly ok - they should be a standard connection shouldn't they??

I'm stumped.

They do differ, I have a couple here that wouldn't fit in the fog, the one from the EM order do though

Thanks Lisa, I hadn't realised - just had a root through my adaptors and the 510 fitting appears to be the same width on all the ones I've accumulated, so think I'm not going to be able to help our Sean.

I've never had any problem with adapters not fitting. I wonder if the one you sent Sean has a little burr on it ?

I wonder too Chris, although Sean did say the actual width of the 510 connection part was too narrow for any of his 510 fittings.

He's going to send it back and I'll have an 'inspection' if it is just a burr, I've several others I can send . . . don't like being defeated by an adapter!

Just found this...

The 901 atties screw in perfectly, but...

The 510 batts (and the 510 batt connection on the Sidewinder) don't. The male thread on the adapter doesn't even engage as the diameter of this part is too narrow. The adapter can simply be slide into/pulled out of the battery without it ever going tight. Wierd!

I'll get them returned to you tomorrow Perpy.

There's no worries really Sean . . . but I did just think afterwards, that if I see the size that doesn't fit, I might have one that does . . . I hate being thwarted by an adapter!

If all else fails I can send you a 510 battery that the adapter is compatible with so as you can try your lovely LR901 atty's.

I'm refusing to be beaten here.
