Can someone please explain the differences between the gauges of coil wire. I bought 15 for the vivi novas and a reel of 24 for the genesis in another forum they are on about 32 guage

I could be wrong, but I believe the gauge is the width of the wire, and generally speaking, the thinner the wire the higher the resistance per foot.... But I could be wrong, I usually am

Here you go Ron..... The shorter the wire, the less ohms The thicker the wire, the less ohms You can get almost any resistance coil you want, in the number of wraps you want, by choosing the correct wire guage. For example…. If I want a 2.4 ohm coil, consisting of 3 / 4 wraps (3 when you look at it from one side / 4 looking at the coil from the other side) and I already know a 3 / 4 wrap will use 3 inches of wire (from terminal to terminal).... I would use 3 inches of 35guage 0.212 with a 3 /4 wrap…. and end up at 2.33 ohms….

would it not be easier to use 0.15 wire seeing as the nova has such a small area to fit a coil in?

Just be careful as a lot of wire sold is in AWG (American Wire Gauge) as opposed to SWG (standard wire gauge).
0.2 mm is 32 AWG and 36 SWG.
