Hello All, Looking for some opinions please. I have a friend to whom I have spread the Vaping Gospel! Went to his for dinner last night and he spent all evening puffing on my Sidewinder (I didn't get a look in! ) and he has decided to take the plunge! He loves the Sidewinder but unfortunately, LF are out of stock on all models and he's keen to get going. So, which way should we go? Tornado, Riva or Ego? He isn't bothered about ciggy look-a-like but will want a little more battery time than a 510 or similar. Ideally, after opinions from someone who has used all 3 but anyone who uses/has used any of the above please shout up! Thanks in advance, Sean

Well the eGo and the Tornado are the same thing with different branding. Haven't tried a Riva but they all get good reports...

Just to put the cat among the pigeons (and no doubt others can rival me on this), I've started riffling thru the forum looking for opinions for you, Sean, and came upon Chrissie's suggestion to Tim "What about a GGTB?" e-cigz.co.uk/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15&products_id=83The GG range is crafted by the Golden Greek, Imeo(thanasis), who makes everlasting gear that takes cheap batteries. Then I remembered that I was very strongly recommended to get a Mako: www.mojurepublic.com/products/Mako-Maksi-V2.htmlThere are 3 sizes of Mako, you can get the sleeves to adapt. MojoRepublic (another Tim) also do the eGo, much more expensive than the Riva. It depends on your friend's finances, partly. I'd have thought that the Riva at LF's price was a good starter. scylla

Thanks both! Yep, finances do play their part. Would like to get him set up with a full kit (2 batts minimum), spares atties/carts and a small selection of juice for around £50 all in... Sean

All you need is in TW's £50 + P&P Tornado kit, but I think you can do better ordering LF's and juice separately. But my maths isn't hot Some of us might have cheap juice to pass on? scylla

Agreed.Having Riva and Tornado kits,i find the Riva batterys have a little more oomph than the Tornado/ego.At £29.99 from LF,i reckon thats a superb price for a great starter kit. Also you get one standard atty and one LR.

Just to add I got the Riva 3 months ago as my first kit, this was from LF and it has been a great device. The cloud 9 and LF kits differ...C9 has smaller battery 650mah and LF state 750mah Also C9 say not to use LR atties on there riva, LF supply one LR atty with the kit. C9 is more expensive than LF
Both are top suppliers and both are good kits

Agrees with Lisa, it's a better deal from LF, especially with the discount code. www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=78Sean, the LF Riva is also a manual battery & as Lisa says, it has a higher mAh so will last longer between charges.

A couple of addenda: (1) C9 say that they do not recommend LR atties with their Riva because they shorten battery life ??? Our members like the LR with it. (2) Small print on LF says "Currently our Riva 901 White and Titanium kits contain 2 x 901 Atomizers 3.2 ohm resistance and not the 1.7 ohm resistance. The Black and Pink kits contain one of each as described above." Just in case one should choose another colour without noticing, and then think there'd been a mistake scylla

We moved away from the LF kit because it simply doesn't mention whether it's manual/auto battery... but if it's a manual, we'll move right on back to it! LOL However, what he really wants is a Sidewinder... just wish LF would answer their phone or get back to me soon... Thanks all! Sean
