Hello Imeo In Perpy's absence - it just a period/style in art. There was "art deco" and "art nouveau".

Our Scylla has pretty much explained it Imeo . . . but the Art Deco period, was a time in my humble opinion of immense elegance, style and grace . . . coupled with simple, fluid lines.

A 'style' which I'd love to see in an ecig box mod, given your talent for design, I'm hoping it's achieveable, something completely different to what's available on the market currently . . . . not suggesting you build a circular box . . . but it's this sort of classic styling.

Also love Charles Rennie Mackintosh - Arts & Crafts, Art nouveau & the aesthetic movement are my favourite periods of design - especially in metal work. I do like Art Deco as well though

I was promised a beautiful pair of armchairs in someone's will once, but her daughter whisked her off into an old people's home Tears for the old lady - the chairs were too good for me.

You saying about the wood reminded me - these were pale satin twirly-grainy wood with gorgeous pastel upholstery, and wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in my care.

O to have the money Chris . . . I watch some of these antiques programmes and literally drool . . . can't understand how some people can bear to part with their pieces . . . beauty's in the eye of the beholder and all that I suppose.
