Problems with LT connector

As I only use my Ody I'm having real problems with the connector on the LT. I'm finding that the thread is stretching so that I can no longer connect anything to it. This is the second time it's happened to me with the new silver coloured LT, my old black one is still fine.

I was wondering if any of you clever people would be kind enough or like to try changing the 510 thread for me. I've got a few old ego batteries with good threads?

Don't know if this is possible, I can send the LT back but I'm still left needing a decent vv.

Any offers would be most greatfully appreciated

I have the same problem with the silver LT. None of my Novas will fit but it was fine with my DCTs, then I dropped it now these won't work. I've thrown it in my spares box for now but I'm going to try a couple of adapters on it once I'm not so annoyed with it!

My old black LT is still fine but DCTs only work on that with a 510-510 adapter!

Update - I've got it working with a 510-ego adapter Neither of my 510-510 adapters would screw in

TBH, I prefer my old one but i'm pleased I've found a fix as the ohm measure is really handy

Ahhh that explains that then Karma... so many different LT's all under the same banner, but very different products. I can't recommend the V4 from jason enough Karma, it fits everything I've tried, including my visions and vivis, and is as sturdy as a rock. It really is a massive improvement on my black LT, although tbf, the black one does still work

Why the LT from Jason fits the Novas, and pretty much everything I've tried on it, yet some LTs don't fit novas, others don't take visions, and so on. It seems like there are tens of different versions, all have different problems to varying degrees, but all have a problem of some sort, for instance with the one from Jason, someone on here had a problem with the centre pin, it came off I believe so now I'm really careful with that. Maybe we could merge all the good things about each LT, remove all the bad parts, and make a super LT that is actually perfect...

I had the first silver LT that all the paint came off, this didn't bother me, but when the thread appeared to stretch I contacted Alex and he sent me the newer one. This has been great, no silver coming off but still the same problem with the thread. I think they're probably great with standard atties, but because there's no movement in the top if you knock the more solid Ody or Iatty etc, they just aren't robust enough. With the old LT's the top tended to come lose so if you knocked the rebuildable it just loosened the top and didn't damage the thread?

I still use my original black LT - nearly a year old now! I had a very brief acquaintance with a more recent chrome LT and wasn't at all impressed.

Realistic rating of a 14500 battery is about 600 mAh..
