I think I'm allowed to vape at work, but sometimes I go outside with the smokers because that's when gossip is at it's best.

I work for my Uncle(My Maw's Twin Bro) who is the owner of an Accountancy Franchise - he smokes about 2 B&H's per hour, my Wee Cousin is my Office Manager(She has never smoked) & the other employee is a Smoker and she regularly nips out back for a Lam&But. My Cousin really noticed me NOT going out for a Cig every hour & is really chuffed for me that i've given up Cigs(I'd been threatening for literally YEARS). I do still go out back maybe twice a day - but only to get away from my Computer Screens - I have 2, it's a revelation working with 2 screens when you're working on accounts. I don't Vape if i've got a Client in. But I'm @ my Happiest @ my desk Vaping away while working on VAT or Tax Returns or a set of Accounts - My Cuz has commented that occasionally she can smell a nice sweet pleasant whiff wafting over from my desk.

There are about 20 in our office and I can vape at my desk, as can another 2 colleagues who work in there.
Will go out with the smokers sometimes still for the goss.

I have been vaping in my office for over 12 months and no one has said anything to me. They all knew I smoked so they are all really supportive and still cannot believe I have not smoked since the beginning of January, although up to then from last spring, I did not smoke at work, only at home.

I haven’t even asked. I work in an industry where you are a leper if you smoke. I am very much pampered where I work I have my own workshop so vape to my hearts content. I think my manager has been to see me about twice this year. The reason I don’t ask is by the time they check with HR, Health and Safety, and BAA it would to much hassle so they would just say no. I still go to the smoking shelter to have a vape and a coffee to spread the word on vaping only if it’s a nice day though

For three months I've happily vaped at work but they've just changed the rules so now the weather has changed I'm stuck back outside

The offices have smelt very much of cappucino this week, although i changed over to cherry and pear these last couple of days. One of the other guys that didnt think to mention he was smoking an e cig (he has one of the imitation cigs) has also been slightly warmer on breaks too.

When I first started vaping everyone in my workplace was curious and supportive ("just maybe keep it out of sight when clients are in") and after a few trial runs and providing some reassurance regarding second hand vapour, it was agreed that I could vape away at my desk.
After a couple of weeks of doing so only one of my colleagues had any objections: some tobacco juices I vaped did leave a lingering smell so, fair enough, I would avoid those at work. He also felt that the vapour was giving him a bit of a headache on one occasion and that it would often give him a dry sensation at the back of his throat.
All the others around me have been fine about it - most not noticing at all.
Following the above, I'm now vaping outside next to a bus stop and getting lots of strange looks from passing travellers.

I work in a small office of 6 office based staff (sales guys are out on the road most days) and I'm allowed to vape at my desk. My boss's have been very supportive, even encouraging the remaining smokers to give it a try. But then one of our Directors, who is based in the Italian office, was a very heavy smoker (he used to smoke in the office, even during v-con calls!) and he has taken up vaping too now, so I think even if they decided they didn't want it in the office anymore he'd have something to say about it! lol I agree with Booblay though, the one thing I miss about going for a ciggy is the gossip exchanged whilst outside.

I'm a chef and it hadn't crossed my mind to ask what the rules would be ??? Plus if I didn't leave the kitchen to vape I wouldn't get a break!
