Hiya,
Just wondering if anybody has ever had a really sore mouth when using e-cigs. I dont know whether its anything to do with the juice or not, perhaps its totally unconnected, I really dont know. Its been like this for about a week now, feels like I have ulcers or lumps of some sort just on the roof of my mouth.

Mmmm may or may not be, I did get ulcers when I first started, get the very odd one now but not sure if the odd one now is through vaping or not

Are you drinking enough fluids, as dry mouths are often prone to things similar? Vaping can sometimes mean a dry mouth. If in any doubt check with your dentist, as stopping smoking can often show up various mouth / teeth related conditions that otherwise would normally be masked by smoking. All the best

Thanks Tim, Yes, if it continues think I will go and see the dentist, I suppose I really should drink more than I do, think a lot of us seems to be guilty of that, I will try and remember to drink more. I also have had and still do have bleeding gums which he says is because ive stopped smoking. It was only about three weeks ago since I went for my bloomin check up, isnt it always the case haha.

Have you changed your usual atty for a different type? One that could be spitting in your mouth? I have a thingy on my bottom lip from over-filling my RDA and getting hot juice all over my mouth dripping in the dark

Read somewhere that where your blood flow improves one you stop smoking, it can affect your mouth/gums etc.

Sounds like the soreness I get when I burn my mouth on soup. Is it possible to drink soup without scalding your gob ???
As you recently had a dental check you could pop along to the chemist & ask the pharmacist to take a looksee.

Hi Mary sorry to hear you are having problems. My gums started to bleed shortly after stopping smoking, seems to be quite common. As Bennyboy says it is to do with the increased blood flow and also the fact that smoking can mask gum problems, so I believe. Thankfully getting a bit better now (after 6 months) but dentist said it was due to stopping smoking not vaping. I'm afraid I am not brilliant at remembering to floss everyday, but this really makes a big difference - I have just invested in an battery operated airflosser which has really improved things and it sits by my toothbrush so I remember to use it (take it easy tho if you try one, these things are powerful and you have to remember to keep your tongue out of the way lol.) I also get a strange sensation in my gums when I vape a lot but pretty sure this is dehydration when I drink lots of water things are fine - it also helps with the flavour loss that a lot of folks (including me for several weeks). So all in all I think really good oral hygiene and drinking plenty water is the key to happy vaping. At least for me.
