my kick has kicked it :(

i remember a thread similar to this a little while ago where someone had a broken evolv kick and they noticed a small crack on the brass base

well mine stopped working friday night and i have taken a look at it today and mine too has a crack on the brass base

Wasn't it Jayjay, whose Kick developed a crack . . . he put a blob of solder on if I remember correctly Gordy and it worked/still works.

thanks Perpy i think you are right... i have contacted the vendor to see if its a fault as it is the second one that i have heard of going that way ...if not the iron may well come out

thanks Perpy i think you are right... i have contacted the vendor to see if its a fault as it is the second one that i have heard of going that way ...if not the iron may well come out

Yeah it was me perps. That old kick that I brutally soldered up is still working, day in, day out.
Ironically, the second kick that I bought and hardly used ever. Packed up on me. That had a tiny crack in the plate too. But I never touched it up. I sent it back during the warranty period and I got a replacement, the replacement has a tiny crack on the plate too! And both those kicks were straight from the box.

my original kick is perfect... but this one the brass plate never did look as flat... maybe its a place they could be improved
