Council are sending out a letter to the neighbour regarding noise levels. However, I feel strangely guilty for kicking up a fuss...how stupid is that? why should you feel guilty they dont youll also get a diary sent out to keep track of when and what time they make the noise or atleast we did when we complained. this muppet next door to me will be getting another smack soon, ill be glad when the bastard moves out im sick of his noise and his partys and his cockhead mates coming round at all hours. i live in a half decent area but im the only one in the street who has a rented property next door as its a private area but the landlord for the house is a total tosser and will put any old scum of the earth in their.

I'm suspecting they have received a letter from the council, as I had one stating a letter was getting sent to them. I have to keep a record of any disrurbances over a 3 week period. It's quite difficult because sometimes they have the ability to be quiet, then other times, like this evening for instance, I can hear them blasting David Essex > The council have asked me for dates, description of noise & how it effects me. I am just going to write the issues in letter from as opposed to listing every issue. I find it difficult putting things down in list form, especially when the problem is so erratic.

Yes, Hissie - write everything down even if you don't think it's important. If it irritates you, even only in a small way, it is still invading your space and well being. MM

Hissie if you have been told what to do ...you cannot decide on what you want to do...it's silly..do as they ask! You have told us when and what time...now tell those that need to know, you can take notes of it ...but you must make the effort.
It may sound harsh but it's true.

I am making notes of the issues, I just find it difficult writing stuff out in list form.
The form from the noise department is in a list format, & due to the erratic-ness of the behaviour next door, it makes it even more difficult to fill the form in how they want it done :-[

Write it out in your own way Hissie and attach it to the form, whether filled in or not. That's what I used to do - I always had lots of scribbled notes on little bits of paper, which I made at the actual time things happened. I handed these over to Housing lady as is !! Everyone is different I know. But sometimes we have to fight our own corner to save our sanity!! Keep at it. MM xx

Oh I am fighting. They have no social skills whatsoever it seems.
I was really hoping the letter from the council would work, but unfortunatly not.
They seem to have no knowledge of how to live quietly within the community. As I type, I can either hear their TV or stereo over the top of my TV.
I so need a move.
If they continue all evening, I'll contact the Police again.

My friend Jeffie is going mad with the problem - the Rasta man upstairs has quietened down but he didn't realise that some of it was next door, with a stone wall in between. I think he'll have a breakdown before long scylla

I can empathise with him Scylla. It certainly isn't helping my mental health.
