Thinking of buying a black provari but I am worried the black will come off it over time.
Anyone know about this, will it or not?

It's anodised, over time and with constant use any coating will wear away. The coating on the provari is very hardy though and will last a good few years before this happens. My provari is the satin finish model and the coating has remained perfectly intact over the 17 months or so that I've had it.

So which color would this not happen to ? All of them, unless you can find an un-anodised stainless steel one.

Two months in and my white one has a couple of little chips and is a bit grubby.
Still looks brilliant though.

My black one is as good as new 8 months or so on. As are the other finishes I've got . . . although the Pink one is like Tom's after a few months, but I shouldn't think you'd want a Pinky in anycase.

My black one, though only a few months old, is like new, not a blemish. I read somewhere that if you can resist dropping them for a couple of weeks maybe a month from new, then this gives the finish time to harden properly, and be more resistant to knocks, but as they say, it's my go to device, I'm lovin it.
