Hi
Trying to clean the cartridges that came with my tornado tank. The stupid leaflet that came with it which they call a user manual isn't much help! In the leaflet it looks like these come apart, but to me it seems they're in one piece.
How do I give them a decent clean inside & out so I can change flavours without any tainting?
Thanks!

What exactly are you trying to clean Sarah? So you have a link to it?

Right, I think I've found them. the plastic bit with the juice in should just pull out from the atomiser and you should be able to just rinse it out

If they're what I think they are... www.vapeescape.co.uk/ego-t-type-a-cartridges~73 something like that? Then with a needle, pin or straightened paperclip, hook out the two pieces that are in the mouthpiece end (two lickle plastic bits, one under the other & be careful you don't flick them out & lose them ). Pop in a pot, along with the stopper from the filling end & the actual tank. Pour on hot water & give a good swizzle, refresh the water & swizzle again. Dry all the bits & put back together & you should be good to go. ETA link

LOL Great, good luck & have fun! I used to save up a few for cleaning. The only problem was, there was a very slight difference in the lickle piece sizing. Putting several back together was great fun!

I've taken the vaping end off, as Jess suggested, but how about the filling end? Can't really get water in there to rinse it. Guess this'll be easier once I've got syringes!

Do yours not have a removable stopper, Sarah?
I'm sure I started on the same system as you have & you just pull the stopper off. Maybe get a piece of paper towel & give the stopper a little turn & pull. I never filled mine with a syringe either, just the above way & it was/is really easy. Plus you can buy more stoppers for when the hole gets too big or out of shape.

Hi Sarah,
They are a bit fiddly and easy to drop / lose the tiny bits, but a bit of concentration and it can be done quite easy, practice makes perfect…
For the future, if you stick with the Tornado Tank system, the carts are only pence to buy, worth getting a few so you can have one per flavour.
What's your next flavour to try?

The filling end should be a softish rubbery piece with a hole in it (after being pierced by the atty) You should be able to pop it off with a fingernail, or something through the hole.

What's your next flavour to try? Hey Mr Frog Still resisting and letting your flavours steep (apart from the coconut ice, but reckon that'll be even better in a few days), so I've got a blackcurrant one on the go at the moment from b4 I found your list of yummies. Next one of yours will be choccynutty fantastic. Or maybe coconut caramel & hazelnut honey. Or maybe...! That's why I need to clean the cartridges! Roger, there's a soft cap with them so you can carry them pre-filled but the end the atty spike goes into is hard plastic, the same material the rest of the cartridge is made from. I've tried to get these off but no luck so far. Don't want to break them!

OK Sarah, these must be newer models than the ones I've got (over a year old) That bit on mine is soft and removable. Perhaps a thin blade might do it, but as Frogster said, they are pence to buy.

Sarah, The soft end cap for transporting filled carts you are referring to is what is called a tank condom; it serves no other use than stopping drips leaking everywhere and is taken off before use. The end caps we refer to can be soft or hard plastic. You can buy both types. The hard ones are more prone to leaks but last longer, the softer ones grip the spike better and don’t leak as much, but wear quicker so need replacing more often. Both types will click off the tank, the harder type are more difficult to remove, use the edge of a screwdriver or blunt knife on the flat part. most people use the soft sort. If you follow the same pattern as 95% of new users…. In a few weeks you will venture onto Cartos, Visions, Novas, or some other type of tank that gives better delivery and holds more, but can still be used with your existing battery. That is the start of the slippery upgrade slope… There are many ways to go, the possibilities are endless, restricted only by the weight of your purse. But worry not….
