AGA-T glass tank

After seeing Frogster's cracked AGA-T tank (allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=modding&action=display&thread=12986&page=12) I've been thinking about trying to find a glass tank or two for mine.

www.ibtanked.com/ appear to be able to do them - was just wondering if anyone knew of a source in the UK?

I am collecting samples today of glass tanks for both the AGA-T and the Chinese Genesis from a supplier local to me..

Anyways I visited this guy's factory hidden away in a little corner and was blown away by the stuff they do..He gave me a catalogue about as thick as the London phone book..Nice to see little gems of British Industry still surviving..

Here are the sample Borosilicate tanks I picked up for the Chinese Genesis and the AGA-T. On the left are the originals, the metal one from the chinese genesis and the polycarbonate one from the AGA. Also pinched a glass funnel in the process..



He's yet to work out the cost and said he would email me in due course. In the meantime I will be trying them out. The aga-t tank should fit with no issues, just need to check if the slightly thinner glass will cause problems with the existing O rings but I think it should be fine given that it's only 0.1 mm difference radially.The tank for the genesis may need a thinner O ring.

Will keep everyone posted. I assume there is some interest in these provided costs are reasonable.

I spent about half hour there and he also showed me this: A sinter funnel for filtering e-juice which may be of interest to large scale DIY e-liquid mixers. They also make a large conical flask and sinter filter arrangement with provision for a vaccum attachment to the conical flask to draw filtered liquid through quicker.



The sinter filters come in different grades..

Could an idustrious person make tanks from pyrex tubing?

..Im not sure how difficult it is to work with pyrex though ???

I`ll watch this space as I`ll probably end up needing one as a spare or until my pc tank crack.

Will be watching this space i dropped my AGA-T and the tank started to crack
i was glad i got a spare one will be more careful but you never know accidents
will happen as the bishop said.

The tank on the left of the photograph is the sample for the Chinese genesis ie., the one you have..

I'd be interested in one for the chinese DID, if they fit without needing too much faffing.
Are they soda or borosilicate?

They are borosilicate as mentioned earlier..

I am not sure the smaller one is going to fit..
