That will get burnt very easily

The cotton wick will be fine as long as you don't let it dry out and burn, but definitely boil it first.
My favourite wick in my Novas is cotton wool pads rolled tightly into wick-sized pieces as it holds an unbelievable amount of juice.

Yeah, I've just through the thread you were involved in regarding the cotton wick moon, so I'll give it a go......shame to waste it & it'll be another little experiment for me......The bicarbonate soda idea seems a good one too..........I'll also try the cotton wool pad route as well...........

I use it as is & never had a problem, but I have had some pretty funky taste from silica wick. As for burning just make sure it's soaked before you fire anything up. I always put juice directly on the coil & wick when new before I fill my nova, then give it a few minutes to soak in tank. I also find it easier to recoil as it doesn't fray & fluff like silica, but as with everything else all down to personnal taste

After leaving feedback for the cotton candle wick I mistakenly bought, I had a very nice e-mail back from the vendor. He has told me that the wick he sent me is 100% pure cotton & that it isn't coated with anything. In which case, is it useable?

Just out of interest, and a little off-post I know, but what material is the wick in a Vision clearo made from?

Short answer yes it's exactly the same one I use, & I got the recommendation from frogster. Like I said I find it alot easier to coil, 'specially if you have to play around with coil abit, just remember to soak, soak & soak before you fire anything up. I used a double wick in my nova Flippin eck how do you fit a double wick in, do you not have any problems getting the silicon cap back on, do you stretch the post out some to get it to fit ???
