PG or VG for DIY Menthol

Hi All,

After a post from Giles the other day about making my own 0% juice iv been reading for a few days on the subject (i knew nothing!).

So im going to make my own Lemon Menthol (my all day vape).

Now correct me if im wrong, it seems too easy. To make 10ml of juice i just need say 8.5ml to 9ml of base, the rest in lemon flavour. Drop in a menthol crystal and heat in warm water until it dissolves. Is it that easy, surely not?

Also, what would people recommend for the base, pg or vg (diluted with vodka or deionised water)?

I currently buy the 0% lemon menthol from paradise vape, its mostly PG. I dont really get a throat hit from it anymore as its zero nic. Would it be better to go VG?

Either base will be fine Jack, but! if you use VG . . . your Menthol Crystals won't dissolve as readily as they will in PG, you'll need to warm your mix in either a cup of warm water, or the micro for a few seconds to get them to dissolve.

And, you may find that they recrystallize more easily in VG, if your mix gets a little on the cool side. Although warming again will cure that.

Alternatively, you could just make a Menthol concentrate, in a little PG/Vodka and add that to a VG base.

My advice - use PG. It works well, and you'll be using so little of this in your mix that it won't affect the PG/VG ratio noticably
