I am also noticing a film on my teeth after vaping all day and it can stain, but giving them an extra good brush does remove it. Jules

Jules I think that may be the VG, it seems to leave a film on my puter screen and car windscreen! Does it damage teeth and gums? I don't know, I suspect nobody knows the answer to that one yet. Still, i feel confident that I'm doing less damage than smoking

I'm not fussed about it to be fair. And I haven't seen a dentist in about 15 years! :-[
But at the end of the day, I don't think I ever saw a dentist who's breath didn't reek of pooh. That can't be healthy either.

That reminds me, last time I went a month ago the dentist tried to rip me off by telling me I needed a filling, telling me I had a chip on the corner of one of my teeth and I knew full well I didn't have, hence I said no thanks leave it alone.

I noticed the film on the windscreen, need to get something in the car for the winter to keep clearing it off,I lost 4 teeth a little while ago, unfortunately the inevitable happening sooner as your gums come back to life after quitting the cigs,on a good front my gum level has visibly got higher and healthier,I just left my current dentist as I didnt like the way she seemed over enthusiastic to make me spend hundreds on dentures I cant afford at the moment, but I am lucky enough to work for Kings college and have acquired forms for dental work there, even though I will be a students learning curve

I think the dentists I go to must take on graduates, because each time I go its a different dentist , always young females, last visit she was a Latvian I know that because I checked up on her to make sure she was qualified , you have got to make sure these days, after all its your teeth your letting them mess with.

I have to say that even if vaping does leave a film on windows, glasses etc it still has to easier to clean off than the horrible brown filth left by smoking and as an ex smoker I was redecorating constantly anyway.
Also, so what if vaping has sweeteners that rot my teeth, it has to be better to replace a few teeth than have my legs amputated or go begging for a lung transplant right?

Brushing your gums is as important as brushing your teeth as any dentist will tell you. I've always brushed my gums, so have never had any problems, but have always had weak teeth. I probably have more filings than teeth. My dentist has noticed though, that they've got whiter in the past year and he's only had to replace one filling too that I had for years and had finally fallen out. I vape a lot of sweet juices and add ethyl malto quite a lot as well as they're often not sweet enough. So my guess would be that the sweeteners used in juice is entirely different to sugar used in drinks, sweets, cakes , biscuits etc.. As for fizzy drinks -
