Kindle e-book reader

I forgot to come back to this thread. Been reading my Kindle for more than a week now. Coming to the end of my 3rd book and Im more than happy with it. This thing is ideal for me. Took no time at all for it to feel like I was reading a paper book. Don't even think about it now.
I've only been reading free books so far, and have about 10 more on it to go yet. When I see a free one that seems to suit me I click and its ready
It's just like a good book, very hard to put down.

Thanks for the update, Vaped It's very encouraging, but I've now got a list of big purchases looming over me so an ebook has gone way down the priorities

I read so much that I have to pick up books at yard sales...usually around 25 cents each (USD).
I thought, no way am I going to pay that much for something to read !

Well, DH got me a Kindle for Christmas. (dang......)

Did some research. There is a whole world of free classics out there !!!
I "think" anything 50+ years old is "out of copyright"
Anyway.....I have downloaded a ton of stuff !!

Now I love it ! And I don't have to worry about messing up covers and pages.

Naw....Nothing smells like a new book.....but it sure doesn't stink like some of the yard sale books !! (baby eeewwww)

hmmm..... wonder if you could DIY that new book smell !
