Sitting here looking out the window at our snowy lawn, i suddenly had a yearning for my mums homemade steak and kidney pudding....ahhhhhh it was soooo yummy. I cant use our cooker and OH does a lot of our cooking, but he is a New Zealander and has little or no idea about such delicacies although to be fair he is very good at most things. What is your favourite thing? Along with my steak and kidney pudding there has to be rhubarb crumble and custard

Chicken stew & herby dumplings in the slow cooker , cooking all day, i love coming home to dinner all done and smelling out the house. We bought a new slow cooker last week. Some good deals on them at the moment. We christened it by having braised lamb shanks. 6hrs and the meat just fell off the bone.

I know it's a pudding but I love making (and eating) a huge apple pie with really chunky apple pieces and homemade pastry of course!

This thread is making me hungry now

All you do is sling it all in set the timer and get on with the rest of your day. My son in law is so lazy when it comes to food, he would rather drive 5 miles in his car to queue up in a takeaway rather than get his hands a bit dirty cutting up veg

love homemade soup, creamed leek & potato soup and crusty bread with lashings of butter. i cheat abit using a bread maker, but the smells from that is devine. i try and teach my son as much as possible how to cook, for when that magical day happens, when he moves out but he cant really be bothered to learn, Fast food is best he says!!
