I bought a Riva 1100 starter kit with 2 batteries from UK Ecig store about 5 weeks ago. It has been great up until today when one of the batteries just died on me this morning. It was on charge over night, but when i tried starting it up by clicking 3 times on the blue LED button, it just keeps shutting itself off again. I did read on here a while ago that sometime the prong inside can be pushed down too far but OH looked and said no as it looks the same as the other battery. How long on average do batteries like this last?

Oh ouchy, that's not very long is it? I've has my eGo-T since June maybe July just gone and whilst its not a Riva it's essentially the same isnt it? And mine's still going strong and used heavily every day. Have you contacted the vendor? Good luck x

Hi Pixi I did say i got them from UK Ecig store. I will contact them but just wanted to know from others who have had them how long theirs lasted. I haven't been vaping that long so a bit green around the ears.

It could be that it has not made contact with the charger (centre pin pushed down on battery) or needs a clean.
Try to gently lift the centre pin and clean the contact surfaces of the battery/charger with cotton buds.
Does the charger 'wink' green every 10 seconds or so when you are charging it?

I did think 5 weeks was a bit too soon, but as i said in last post, being fairly new these are the first batteries i have ever used so no idea of the norm.

Dolly check the centre pins on the battery AND the charger. Even if they look ok we're talking fractions of a mm here

Had my Rivas since June, still going strong, do sometimes have to winkle the centre pin up a bit but otherwise no problems on either of them for 6 months
If the pin winkle doesn't work get back on to the vendor

Hi azzie No, it doesnt wink green. When you first put it on charge it is red then goes green when its done OH has given it a clean but no joy

No worries pixi my brain is like that ALL the time from the replies i get the feeling it should be lasting a lot longer than this. I will get OH to give it another once over Oneday. He did lift pin but didnt clean it

Clean the charger too, as I've just gone to put an ego battery that I bought in July on charge, the charger light wouldn't go from green even though the batt needed charging. After a good clean of both charger & battery, it's now fine & doing it's thing.
