I need a few things. Not the usual 2 x 10ml of e-liquid, or 2 packs of boges or wick/wire/gadets. I need a battery, an extra charger, some caramel liquid (which gets mixed in everything) and maybe a £15-25 rebuildable atomizer. Looking around, I could conceivably buy a selection from one vendor and whack on a discount code making a new battery (#1 important purchase) as good as half price if I get £5-10 off using a discount code. Then, I also realised I could buy a kit. There's a few Riva or eGo kits offered for sale (various places) where by the time you add up the cost of the batteries, charger and liquid (for example) you effectively get a CE4/5 and/or cartomisers free...and a case too! Is it bad form though to take advantage of a kit deal and then whack on a discount code too? If it was Amazon or Argos, I wouldn't give a damn, but lots of vendors "live" on here and give their help and advice. Just wouldn't want to take the peas.....

I don't think it's bad form at all Dj & I doubt very much the vendors would think you are taking the p.

IMO no it's wouldn't be bad form / nor taking the piss using a discount code, vendors are just glad for any business we can get and any happy customers we can make/help. But your question is appreciated.

If you were a newcomer and you bought the kit you would enter the discount code so I can't see the difference. I stop and think with V3's, do I buy a head £2.50, maybe a spare base £2.50 or do just buy a whole new one ? As it is I buy the heads in packs of 5 which is cheaper. It's all down to what bits you need. A good business man will have worked out his profits & discounts etc.........

They're there to be used is my feeling, otherwise the Vendors wouldn't be kind enough to give them to us.

Discount codes are there to be used. If not, the vendor would not offer them.
There is no "etiquette" for discount codes - just business.

Personally, if one of my regulars kept on asking me for discounts on everyday items I'm making almost nothing on (as the big boys can outdo me) I might get a little fed up. I'm asking in the interests of fairness to vendors on this forum - are you one of them?

I used to own a business. Don't feel bad. Any businessman/woman worth their salt works out the pros and cons of discounts they offer. First off they get free advertising on the forums they use to promote their products, which is a very big plus for them especially if they are not a big company. They would also factor in what discounts they can offer against the prices they pay wholesale for their goods. Profit margins can be quite high depending where you get products from and how much bulk buying you do. So I would not worry about it.
