Hi all, after lurking for a while and doing about a week of research I have finally decided to join in the vaping scene. After ploughing through the overwhelming amount of different products and systems I have decided to order this www.vapeescape.co.uk/vape-escape-vision-1000-ultimate~397Any comments or advice on this as a newbie would be appreciated, I know I could have started on a cheaper system but reading through the forum, everyone seems to be upgrading constantly so I thought I may as well go for a higher end system now. One thing I would like to know is what strength of liquid to order, I smoke 20 Marlboro lights a day so at 0.5mg of nicotine = 10mg per day and I know the absorption rate is different with vaping so where does that leave me, also I would like to give up the cigs completely and swap to vaping straight away, is this possible? Anyway thanks for reading, I've got loads of questions, Roy

yo, welcome to the forum! yea its a good kit, good batteries, should last many hours between charges usually when starting out people go for higher strengths then might reduce it eventually 24mg or 18mg are good starting points i've found. I moved to 18 quite quickly and have stayed with it since. I vape way more than I smoked though, so maybe i'd vape less at 24mg. You can definitely switch completely to vaping though! I just limited down from 10 cigs a day to 2 for the first month and vaped around the same amount as if I'd been smoking 8/day during that time - after a week or 2 it became very easy as I had already gone off the taste of real cigs, just continued to 1 month to finish my last pack off It can be done faster though, but it can be good to take a bit of time to get used to vaping and make sure u have good supplies of liquid + cartomisers/clearomisers and r happy with the device in general before switching completely. At least thats the way i found it.

Of course you can join in , hi #7261_9485# I smoked 15 a day and tend to vape 18mg or 24mg when at work and can only vape during breaks It is perfectly possible to give up completely , I have but some don't and just cut their cigs down, my advice is to dual fuel at first and you will find you are cutting out cigs without thinking I went from 15 to 3 in a couple of days, don't worry if you do smoke, count the ones you don't smoke not the ones you do Bc

Hi Roy. Welcome to the group I started out on 24mg and went down to 18 pretty quickly and made the conscious decision from the moment I started vaping to stop smoking. I am so weak willed I knew if I combined the two I would never stop smoking. Best of luck with your vaping journey Pam O

Hi Roy If you've been lurking for a while then I'm sure you already know how friendly and helpful everyone is on here. I've just gone past the 4-week mark, and haven't had a stinky since I got my e-cig. Everyone's different though, and you shouldn't put any pressure on yourself to stop straight away. Just see how you go. As others have said, start on 18mg and see if that's enough - you'll soon know. If the cravings are too much just up the strength. I didn't smoke heavily, so I use 18mg during the day while I'm at work and switch to 11/12 in the evenings when I'm vaping more. I hope you enjoy vaping (I flippin love it!) and you manage to cut down on the stinkies.

Hi Roy! As said I agree that you're looking at a great kit there and it should do you well, it won't last and you'll get the Shiny Syndrome within a week , so enjoy. I've been vaping since March but only stopped smoking on 24th October for real and I didn't punish myself for it. Others go straight into 100% Tab Free Mode so just play it by ear.

Hiya Roy and #welcome2# to AAEC That does look a good choice of kit. I was a very heavy smoker when I took up vaping and although I smoked a few cigarettes in the first few days, within a week I'd just stopped wanting one and preferred vaping and have never looked back in over 3 months. Good luck!

Hello Roy and welcome, I switched to vaping from smoking using a cig-alike and haven't smoked since but it's your journey so do it in whatever way suits you best. Dave
